Brink's is not part of the banking system and does not fall under the same laws and jurisdiction as the banks.... During the week of 9/11, the government shut down the banking system, but Brink's was still open, doing business and shipping and receiving gold and silver as usual. You are then registered as shareholder of a unique bullion that is stored at Brinks.
