Distance Learning Plan Week Beginning: 18.05.20 This week, everyday can you… Be safe and kind Talk with as many different people as you can This week we are capturing ‘Life right now’. We are going through a time in our lives that will be remembered throughout this generation. We should focus on children remembering this time and ‘what life was like’ when they were home-schooled. Below are a number of activities for your child/children to complete. All activities will be accessed in the Historians section on the blog. Fine Motor Skills Expressive arts and Design Understanding the worldDraw around your hands twice. Using scissors carefully cut them out. Now using colours make one set of hands dirty. Using blues to represent water clean the other hands.

Create gloop using cornflour and water. Add cornflour to a bowl or a tray add a few drops of water at a time and stir. Explore how it feels and the changes. Can you hide some plastic toys or coins in the gloop?

Create your own stethoscope. Using cardboard with a grown up create a u shape. Cut this out and cover with foil. Next create a circle, cut out a circle in the middle and cover with foil. Attach using string or ribbon. Use your stethoscope within your role play pretending to be a Doctor or Nurse.

On a piece of paper create a heart shape. Cut the heart into puzzle pieces of how many members of your family there are. For example, Mum, Dad and child cut out three pieces. Each person in the family to then decorate their piece and write their name on it. After you can stick them together like a family puzzle.
