Muskegon Lumberjacks Mascot Job Description The Muskegon Lumberjacks are seeking an energetic performer to be our brand new mascot, Jack, at games and appearances throughout Western Michigan. Jack is a key part of the team’s public image, and working as our mascot is an opportunity to create excitement for the Lumberjacks and grow the sport of hockey in our community. Candidates must be in good physical condition, able to stand, walk and ice skate in a heavy costume for extended periods of time. It’s vital that the mascot be able to read social cues and anticipate the level of interaction each fan desires. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the rigors and requirements of being a mascot, be comfortable interacting with a wide range of people, and have a flexible schedule. Job Requirements: - Continue to develop the character of “Jack”. - Perform at home games at the L.C. Walker Arena. - Perform and/or provide support to community and team appearances, including but not limited to corporate, charity, community, media and private functions throughout West Michigan. - Work with the Community Relations and Game Operations departments to execute promotions. - Create goodwill and enthusiasm for the team in the community. Qualifications: - Experience as a mascot or performer is preferred, but not required. - The ability to ice skate is a plus. - Ability to communicate with all levels of the Lumberjacks organization. - Able to analyze and react to public situations quickly and appropriately. - Must be fan-friendly, outgoing and able to generate excitement in a crowd without speaking. - Must be available to work flexible hours including daytime appearances and weekends. - Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.

Muskegon Lumberjacks Mascot Job Description

The Muskegon Lumberjacks are seeking an energetic performer to be our brand new mascot, Jack, at games and appearances throughout Western Michigan. Jack is a key part of the team’s public image, and working as our mascot is an opportunity to create excitement for the Lumberjacks and grow the sport of hockey in our community.

Hours will vary depending on the game and appearance schedule, but will average around 10 hours/week. Events may include games, parades, meet & greets at festivals, autograph signings and helping with floor hockey and reading appearances at local schools and camps. You will be paid per appearance and game with gas subsidies for travel outside the Muskegon area.
