Japanese Music

Most of Japan music are solo to represent their culture. In 13th century they perform a Buddhist chanting which was perform with orchestral. Japan music mostly are solo is because they use it in their culture mask dance show so the music rhyme goes along with the show so it make the show more attractive and meaningful. Japanese melody always start slow and became fast at the end. Most of Japanese song was influenced by the Chinese culture. Those 2 countries were old eastern cultures, which is in the Asia.

Gagaku is an example of the oldest music in Japanese it is about meditation which played with flute.

Biwahaku: It is an originally from Japanese. This music was played with Biwa it is a four string guitar.

Chinese Music

China music is the oldest in the world. The define of the cultures music were the 7000 year old flute in china. Chinese music is mostly instrumental solo.Tang Dynasty was the first dynasty that represent music in china. They have create many instrument. Music was very important for the wealthy families. However many Chinese music plays when there is a big event or celebration.

Difference between Japanese music and Chinese music- Japan mostly use light string, flutes in their music to make it

more calm- Japanese music use the pentatonic minor scale- Most of their music were performed solo in theater or dance

show- Chinese use heavy string as big drums these instrument are

mostly for celebration- Chinese music uses the pentatonic major scale
