Your logo and banner are important aspects of your site.Your logo and banner are important aspects of your site.

We chose a relatively simple design for your actual logo, combining text with an aged background.

Next to your logo is an image with the slogan “Best place for coffee, conversation, and always free Internet access”.

Accurate and effective navigation is crucial to visitors finding what they want on your site.

To immediately capture the attention of visitors, we placed the navigation near the top of the page and used graphics along with text for the individual navigation links. For added effect, when visitors place their cursor over the navigation graphic, the text disappears and the image in the background comes into focus. This is referred to as a rollover effect.

INFORMATION AND INFORMATION AND CONTENTCONTENT

Information is the best way for visitors to find out things and so we included information about our live entertainment, our specials, upcoming news and events, a brief summary of the featured artists and a link to their music page and all of this to help people find out what’s going on.

We also include Wi-Fi for our guests to help them feel right at home all the while they are sipping their coffee and relaxing in our comfy chairs by an open fire.

To incorporate all of this on the site, we have used eye pleasing colors like a white background so the text is easy to read and the color scheme was chosen to help give the site a warm feel with the use of white, burgundy, and browns intermixed just right.

INFORMATION AND INFORMATION AND CONTENT CONTENT We used a jello layout to help keep the

content centered in the browser window and helps the page look the same on any size screen.

Geneva was used throughout because this font is easy to read, even at a smaller size.

Website design is inherently subjective. In order to best achieve our client’s stated objectives, we drew on our own experiences as coffee consumers as well as competitor’s websites for inspiration. Then, using established best practices, we created the website presented in this PowerPoint exhibit for review

PAGE FOOTERPAGE FOOTER

For the footer we used 10pt Verdana because it is a good font to use for smaller text and it still looks good and is easy to read.

On the footer we included hyperlinks as well to our different pages and also included when the page was last updated so the visitors to the site will know that everything is current. There is also an email address so that if there is a problem, someone can email us the with the problem and then it can be fixed right away.

When it comes to a website, the best thing to do when brainstorming ideas is to have the customer in mind because if you can’t read it, the customer isn’t going to be able to read it either.

Coffee Café is for the customer, because without the customers, Coffee Café doesn’t exist.
