Im sure the students will repre- sent our school in a positive manner and do their very best. Thanks to Mr. Schein for organising our school carnival and then completing all the preparations for our students to attend this trial. Principals Meeting Last Thursday I attended the Principals meeting for Term 2 at Narromine High School, which was run by Adelia Fuller. It was very beneficial to discuss with colleagues new developments within the Department of Education and to see and hear about all the things going on in schools across the region. State Of Origin Fundraiser This Wednesday students are asked to wear their state of origin colours to school to show their support for their team. For the privilege of doing so, stu- dents are asked to donate a gold coin which will go towards the fundraising costs of the SRC. Please note, shades of maroon and blue are only to be worn, this is not a general out of uniform day. The canteen will also be selling food supporting both the maroons and blues, so please allow your child the opportuni- ty to participate in this initiative. School Uniform Recently we have had a bit of a rise in students attending school not in the cor- rect school uniform, which is simply green or grey pants and no other colour. Students are doing a fantastic job in wearing the correct shirts and jumpers to school but are not adhering to the schools P&C supported uniform policy. Please be aware that if students are not in the correct coloured school uniform and an opportunity exists to leave the Dubbo North Public School Skill with Honour by being Responsible, Safe & Respectful lifelong learnersWeekly Newsletter Week 6 Term 2 2019 [email protected] Tel: 6882 4689 Fax: 6884 3442 Week 6 Term 2 Skill with Honourschool grounds to represent our school then this opportunity will be forfeited; this goes for day excursions, PSSA and all other opportunities. Stickers can either be placed onto the booklets or simply handed in as they are handed out at the stores. Towards the end of June the school will be able to cash these stickers in for resources which will ultimately benefit all the students at the school. Attendance Meeting Last Friday I had a meeting with our schools HSLO to discuss attendance across the school setting. There were very few students with attendance con- cerns and the ladies were very im- pressed with our high rates of attend- ance. Great job everyone – keep it up!
