Buffaloe CALL TO WORSHIP Dr. Stephen McKinney-Whitaker We do not live by bread alone, but by the Word who became flesh and dwells among us. Christ is the true bread of heaven, the manna of freedom. Come, let us give God our thanks and praise. We have been complicit without realizing it, when we go along with systems and practices that harm others and deny dignity and freedom to all people. We'd willingly hand out our wealth as soon as we have served ourselves. We'd gladly offer our supplies but they won't feed a crowd this size. I'm sure we'd share if we could see who else is getting food for free.
We'd be first to head the call but I'm afraid we ate it all!
We'd love to give we really would, we'd give it freely if we could. So you see we're sad to say, you'll have to ask another day.
Before we give, why don't you ask us what we give the poor in taxes? Oh, we are really quite upset that we can't live because of debt. You know we'd donate all our stuff, but it just isn't good enough.
