Study Permit and Visa Requirements
To get a Brazilian Student Visa you must go to the Brazilian Consulate in your country with the acceptance letter from FGV-EAESP. Then, you must provide them all the documents that the Brazilian Consulate in your Country requires in order to give you a Brazilian Student Visa.
All students, who are not Brazilian citizens, are required to get a student visa to enter, stay and study in Brazil. Students without a student visa will not be able to enroll in our system and will have to return to the home country in order to get the visa.
The deadline for you to provide a copy of your Brazilian Visa to the International Relations Office is July 15th of 2011. The copy of your Brazilian Visa must be sent to [email protected] or [email protected].

Health Insurance
In order to attend FGV-EAESP, it is mandatory to have a valid International Insurance.
There is also a clinic with full time doctors at FGV-EAESP that might help you in an emergency case.
It is also mandatory to send a copy of your International Health Insurance to: [email protected]
Accommodation
We highly recommend you that, prior to your arrival, consider the type of accommodation that will work best for you factoring in costs, location, etc. Please note that it is your responsibility to secure accommodations in São Paulo. You can choose your accommodation without the links below, but we highly appreciate if you could do it before your arrival.

When to Arrive & What to Bring
It is important for you to reach São Paulo prior to beginning of classes so thatyou can settle in. Werecommend that you arriveone week before thebeginning of terms.
This will allow you to adjustto the time difference andbecome familiar with thecity.
It is best to arrive on a weekday, Monday to Friday, between 11am to 6pm which are our officehours. This way we will beable to assist you with anydoubt or provide some useful information.

Arriving in São PauloAirport Taxis
Airport taxi fares are based on a flat rate tariff. For example, a taxi ride from the airport to the FGV-EAESP campus should be approximately R$ 100,00. Make sure to have your apartment or hotel address available.
Airport Bus Service

Bachelor in Business Administration
-Undergraduate program taught in Portuguese
IPM – International Program in Management
- Undergraduate program, which counts 2 Brazilian credits per discipline = 30 contacthours.
- Taught in English and it is divided in 2 terms.
- Students who attend 8 subjects in one semester, receive a Special Diploma calledInternational Program in Management Certificate.

MPGI – Master Of Science in International Management
-1,5 Brazilian credit per discipline = 22,5 contact hours = 6 ECTS
- Taught in English
MPA –Mestrado Profissional em Administração
-1,5 Brazilian credit per discipline = 24 contact hours
- MBA taught in Portuguese
- Only for students with at least 5 years of work experience
CEAG – Curso de Especialização em Administração para Graduados
-Part-time MBA in Portuguese (with many courses in English)
- 1 or 2 Brazilian credits per discipline (depending on the subject) and 16 or 32 contacthours respectively

-All exchange incoming students are able to course as many subjects as they want.

Term 1: August 8th to September 30th / Final Exams : October 3rd, 5th and 7th
Term 2: October 17th to December 9th / Final Exams : December 12th, 14th and 16th
MPA (MBA):
Term 1: August 10th to October 1st / Final Exams : October 5th, 6th and 8th
Term 2: October 19th to December 10th / Final Exams : December 14th, 15th and 17th
CEAG (Part-time MBA):

Registering on the Federal Police
When you go to the Federal Police, you should take:
1) Original Passport
2) Copy of Passport (except the white pages), notarized by Brazilian authorities(cartórios)
3) Student Visa Application Form (signed by Brazilian Consulate or Embassy)
4) 2 photos (3x4) in a white ground
5) 02 sets of forms called “GRU” (see next page)
6) All visa documents received from the Brazilian Consulate in your country
All incoming exchange students must register on the Federal Police within 30 days sincethe day of arrival in Brazil. This registration may take a while to be scheduled but, as longas you are in Brazil, you have 30 days to start the Polícia Federal registration process.
This registration must be done through this website : https://servicos.dpf.gov.br/sincreWeb/
The website is available only in Portuguese! So if you have any doubt filling the blanks, do not hesitate to contact the International Relations Office.
After filling the blank fields, you will be required to go to the Federal Police and get yourfinger prints done.
Registering on the Federal Police
About the 02 sets of forms called “GRU – Guia de Recolhimento da União” : http://www.dpf.gov.br/servicos/gru/gru-funapol
Unidade Arrecadadora :you have to choose “SP- Superintêndencia Regional do Estado de São Paulo”, then type the following two codes in different forms:140120 – carteira de estrangeiro 1ª via;140082 – registro de estrangeiros / restabelecimento de registro.
These two forms must be completed and submitted to any Bank for its payment and the Bank will then give you the “GRU” receipt. Information to fulfill the form: Full name and telephone;CPF (which is a Brazilian document) or if you don’t have it you can use the following code “000.000.001/91”;“Receita Federal” code: 008-6 (R$) and 012-4 (R$), one code for each set form;“Unidade Arrecadadora” code: 027-2 .

GENERAL INFORMATION
Undergraduate and graduate courses
If you want to cancel, add or change any course you have chosen you MUST informthe International Relations Office located at the 3rd floor, during the first week ofclasses. If the requirement is approved by the Program´s Coordinator, theRegistration Office will make the change.
After this week you WILL NOT BE ABLE to do any CHANGE in your schedule! Final EXAMS DATES and times ARE NOT SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
Grading
- Grading is 0 to 10 for MSc, Diploma Course and Undergraduate Level (such as IPM).
Final grade is generally based on participation, oral and written presentations, case analyses and mid-term / final examinations. Minimum grade to pass is 6.
- Grading for MPA is an individual course score range from A to D.
- Grading for MPGI is from A to F, with F = failed.
Attendance
Attendance is mandatory. Exchange students will be considered FAILED byabsence if exceed the number of 25% of absence in classes.
Portuguese Classes
FGV-EAESP offers 30 hours of Portuguese Language Course for free for all the exchange students. The course will begin at the second week of classes.
Portuguese classes will be divided into Basic, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2 andAdvanced.
Internet InstrumentseClass : communication via between students and Professors. Through eClassyou are able to find general information about courses and download classmaterials.
Aluno online: communication between student and university where you canaccess information about your academic life: grades, absences, class schedules, services requests, final exams / mid-term exams schedules.
