OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 18) Beyond a line defined as the nearest inside point at ground level of any boundary fence post, wall, grip, white post or lines. 2. PENALTY AREAS (Rule 17) All penalty areas identified by yellow posts or yellow lines are yellow penalty areas. All penalty areas identified by red posts or red lines are red penalty areas. 3. ROADS AND PATHS (Rule 16) All roads and paths with artificial surfaces are immovable obstructions and therefore relief may be obtained under Rule 16.1b. 4. FIXED SPRINKLER HEADS (Rule 16) All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 16.1b. In addition, if such an obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green of the hole being played intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may obtain relief, without penalty, as follows. If the ball lies off the putting green but not in a penalty area and is within two club-lengths of the intervening obstruction, it may be lifted and cleaned and dropped in the relief area (See Rule 14.3). 5. POWER LINES If it is known or virtually certain that a player’s ball hit a power line during the play of hole 13 the stroke does not count. The player must play a ball without penalty from where the previous stroke was made (see Rule 14.6 for what to do). 6. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 16) The following are defined as immovable obstructions :- a) Staked Trees b) Buildings, Distance Markers and Seats c) Bell 15th Hole Relief may be taken under Rule 16.1b 7. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (Rule 16) Areas marked GUR are No Play Zones and the player must take free relief under Rule 16.1b. PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULES Match Play – Loss of Hole Stroke Play – General Penalty (2 strokes)
