Scriptural shepherding has suffered a severe beating by the modern shep- herding; while the former explicitly expresses in a selfless ser- vice, the latter primes in lording over others. It is chiefly be- cause everyone wants to be a boss, and it seems like we have so many shepherds or shepherding realities, like money, power and positions. Could we follow the only Shepherd, emulating him by our lives of selfless service? This Sunday is also known as the ‘Vocation Sunday’. What a wonderful way to motivate the youth of our parish community to remain positive to say ‘yes’ to God, and the parents to have a positive regard for vocations to priesthood and religious life by sowing the seed and nurturing its growth in the hearts of their children! This Sunday is so very special to our parish family of Sacred Heart, as our beloved children are going to receive their ‘First Holy Communion’. We pray that Jesus becomes their source of spiritual strength, and that they become the ‘Walking Eucha- rist’ among us to remind us of the Eucharistic values of serving, sharing and sacrificing. “Mothers’ Day” is at hand. As we all know for sure, our moth- ers are the God-given counselors, motivators and the best teach- ers. As someone said, “The mother’s heart is the child’s school- room”, they teach us many things by their word and example. Court Sacred Heart Catholic Daughters will be host-ing the confirmation reception the evening of May
23. We invite anyone who would like to help with the set-up and clean-up to feel free to join in the fun! The reception will be im-mediately following the confirmation mass and will be held in the Parish Hall.
We also are asking our parish ladies to mix up a batch of their favorite cookies to serve at the reception. Thank you!

BUILDING COMMITTEE UPDATE
The Building Committee has for several months been meeting with CB/Two Architects regarding the future building needs of Sacred Heart Parish. After much dis-cussion the Building Committee has almost come to an agreement of two plans that will be brought before the Parishioners.
Plan I will retrofit the gym into a Parish Center (with kitchen) and Plan II would be a new building closer to the church as the Parish Center. (with kitchen).
After the two plans are finalized they will be brought before the Parishioners (via Parish meetings) for their comments, concerns and monetary commitments.
Please keep the Building Committee in your prayers.

ACTUALIZACIÓN DEL COMITE DE EDIFICIOS
El Comité de Edificios ha estado durante varios meses reuniéndose con CB/Two Architects sobre las futuras necesidades de construcción de la Parroquia del Sagra-do Corazón. Después de mucha discusión, el Comité casi ha llegado a un acuerdo de dos planes que se pre-sentarán ante los feligreses.
Plan I, el adaptar el gimnasio en un Centro Parroquial (con cocina) y Plan II sería un nuevo edificio más cer-cano a la iglesia como el Centro Parroquial. (Con coci-na).
Después de que se finalicen los dos planes, se presenta-rán ante los feligreses (a través de las reuniones parro-quiales) para sus comentarios, inquietudes y compromi-sos monetarios.
Por favor, mantenga el Comité de Construcción en sus oraciones.

• Enter quietly and with reverence
• Genuflect to the blessed sacrament before entering the pew, and whenever crossing before the Blessed Sacrament • Observe silence during adoration time
• Spontaneous conversation, singing and vocal prayer or sermonizing is not allowed
• Respect the privacy of other adorers
• Please no food or drink in the church
• Please ensure your children do not disturb others during adoration
