SENSE SMART CITY www.sensesmartcity.org RDI scope: Building a sensor platform in the city of Skellefteå (LTU Campus Skellefteå) Project type: EU Regional funds and Skellefteå Municipality. Project highlights/results: Product development of sensors that monitor the
sewage system (to make the municipality’s drinking water completely safe).
NEC Japan makes the Sense Smart City project their testing ground for their energy monitoring system “HEMS”.
Sensor monitoring of bridge movements etc. Next step: Services exploited in new projects and to new users, for example the new EU project ”Optimising Hybrid Energy Grids for Smart Cities” with NEC.
