Their goal is be a leader in environmental responsibility.

Microsoft follows strict policies to ensure that the company remains in full compliance with international environmental regulations and the specific environmental requirements of each country/region in which they do business.

Microsoft Installs Silicon Valley’s Largest Solar Panel System at Its Mountain View Campus

• Silicon Valley Campus was design purposely to be a green sustainable building.

• Solar power offers a smart way for Microsoft to reduce their electricity expenses.

• Annual savings of $120,000.

• Reduced heating and cooling expenses.

• Replacement of high-energy lighting with more efficient lighting

• Reduction of hours of operation for heating, ventilation, air conditioning.

• Modification of water timing to improve water effectiveness

• Continually monitor heating and cooling systems so that they at maximum efficiency

Microsoft Technology for the Environment Developing cloud products to help Reduce the energy use of

computers.

Helping drivers track their energy use: by partnering with automakers such as Toyota and Ford to provide technologies for cars that allow drivers to track and reduce their power consumption.

We are Working with partners to create solutions for customers in these key areas: Greener IT, Buildings, Power and Energy reductions, Transportation, and Resource Management.
