Brazilian Times Getulio Vargas, the president of Brazil, just witnessed the unveiling of Christ the Redeemer (Appositive). As we walk up the Corcovado Mountain (Weil 22), we are going to ask him what he feels about Christ the Redeemer. “Well, I am a Christian and Jesus is God’s only son and we only know what Jesus looks like, so thank you builders. Also when Jesus spread out his arms he was nailed to a cross and died for our sins”, said Getulio Vargas. The 125 foot statue that weighs 1262 tons looks down at Rio de Janeiro (Brasch 14).
