Together with our partner in Poland, we organized KOL and reference user visits of AcrivaUD Trinova across the country. Multiple clinics such as Uniwersyteckie Centrum Kliniczne and OKO-Med Clinics in Katowice, Weiss Klinik in Chorzów and Nowosielska Clinic in Warsaw were visited. We were excited to have attended 38th Lahore Ophthalmo joint meeting with 4th Annual Symposium of PACRS. Our partner in Pakistan attended the 38th Lahore Ophthalmo which was held in Lahore, December 6-8 with a large motivated sales team. We had the opportunity to meet the ophthalmologists and introduce our Sinusoidal Trifocal IOL, AcrivaUD Trinova as well as other products in our portfolio.

Toric IOL implantation for the treatment of pre-existing astigmatism in cataract patients has grown signi�cantly. According to market reports global toric IOL sales is predicted to have a continuous strong growth.
PREVALENCE OF ASTIGMATISMThe prevalence of astigmatism among cataract patients is higher than expected.
The incidence of astigmatism among cataract patients is subject to debate, but one clinical study of 6000 cataract patients performed by Warren Hill, MD, reported that 52.5% of patients had preoperative astigmatism of more than 0.75D. The �gure below shows the percentage of patients at various levels of preoperative astigmatism.
Another study published by Dr. Ferrer-Blasco et al. in 2009, consisting of 4540 patients with cataracts, showed corneal astigmatism to be prevalent in 87% of patients.
