IOC gender equality project; IF surveyFISA snapshot: 7 recommendations/compliments

1. FISA has made impressive inroads to establish gender equality policies andpractices, very useful to share with other IFs.

2. FISA is one of the few IFs to allocate funding for tangible initiatives.

3. Electing women into roles of influence and decision making is achieved by effortsfrom Council and Executive Committee. No sustainability in electing byelaws.

4. FISA has no prerequisites for candidate nominations to recruit and nominatefemale candidates.

5. The participation numbers for FISA high performance female athletes, particularlyin Asia, North America and Oceania, are higher than most other IFs

6. FISA tops the ranking in % of Commission Chairs in influencing Commissions(athletes, coaches, events)

7. Based on the initiatives undertaken to date by FISA and the Federation’s keen interest to make further progress, FISA can be considered to be one of the IF leaders in gender equality.
