RECOMMENDED USESTitan America® White Masonry Cement is typically used where a pleasing aes-thetic accent is desired in masonry construction. Mineral oxide pigments canbe added to the mix to achieve a full spectrum of colors.
SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALITIESTitan America® White Masonry Cement is an excellent mortar with qualitiessuch as high aesthetics, durability, strength and workability. Titan America®
White Masonry Cement when mixed with masonry sand (ASTM C-144) andtested according to the property specification section of ASTM C-270 will pro-duce a mortar that complies with the requirements of Types ‘S’ and ‘N’masonry. Titan America® White Masonry Cement meets or exceeds therequirements of ASTM C-91.
INSTRUCTIONSTitan America® White Masonry Cement
• No allowance for waste, aggregate size or field conditions.• One bag of Masonry Cement is approximately one cubic foot by volume.• Approximately 6 #2 shovels of damp, loose sand equals one cubic foot by
volume.• Actual coverage will vary.
CEMENT PREPARATIONTitan America® White Masonry Cement will not perform as designed if themixing instructions and proportions are not followed correctly. It is importantto ensure that the product does not dry out prematurely; this condition canaffect the overall strength and durability of the finished product.Mix mortar in a mechanical mixer as follows:1) Add approximately 2/3 of the potable water required.2) Add 1/2 of the sand (ASTM C-144 approved) required.3) Add Titan America® White Masonry Cement.4) Add the remainder of the sand (ASTM C-144 approved).5) Add enough potable water to bring the mortar to the desired consistency.6) Allow mortar to mix 5 minutes from the introduction of the last ingredient.
For mortar to match job specifications, factors such as type and applicablebuilding codes and engineering requirements must be considered.Retempering of White Masonry Cement should be discouraged, since it maysignificantly alter the final color. Plastic, glass or other non-metallic tools shouldbe used in the finishing of White Masonry Cement products to prevent ruststains from appearing in the finished product.

ACCESSORY PRODUCTSWhite sand must be used to produce thedesired mortar. Potable water is preferableand it should be free from any substance thatcould have a deleterious effect on the curedmasonry or any metal within the masonry job.
CAUTIONCauses skin irritation, injurious to eyes.Contains Portland Cement. Freshly mixedcement, mortar, concrete or grout maycause skin injury. Avoid contact with skinwhere possible and wash exposed skinareas promptly with water. If any cement orcement mixtures get into the eyes, rinseimmediately and repeatedly with water for15 minutes and get prompt medical attention.
