• Getting free of an abusive relationship can be a difficult and lengthy process

After You have Left

Often.the.abuse.will.continue.in.the.form.of.harassment,.intimidation.or.even.violence.

If.you.find.yourself.in.this.situation,.you.should.speak.to.a.solicitor,.who.will.give.advice.on.how.to.protect.yourself.with.injunctions..The.Police.Domestic.Violence.Units.will.be.able.to.help.in.relation.to.criminal.proceedings..They.are.staffed.by.experienced.Police.Officers.who.are.Domestic.Violence.specialists.

Whether it’s your Health Visitor, GP, Women’s Aid or a friend, it’s good to talk and this is the first step to making things better.
