Who would be the audience for your media product and how did you attract and address
your audience?
The audience for the product:
The audience for our product was never too specific beyond that of the working class/middle class groups with elements of ABC1 in range on jobs etc. We knew only having a wider scale for our audience would be better for the overall way in which the movie would
do well.
Place/Setting: Middle class house
The first shot is an establishing shot of our location this being a middle class house, heavily giving a feel to the audience of what type of characters are going to be involved.
Character 1: The Wife/Victim
When it came to the wife, we never developed on the age too much beyond that she was older than 17. This was done through clothing and appearance so that a larger scale of the audience could relate and feel bad for this character.
Character 2:The brother (unknown to the audience of that fact) and killer
Again not limiting the age range of the audience who could relate, we only chose to make the character seem older than 17. Though we knew the killers dress within the Flashback was important in creating this darker side to the character so a black hoodie covering the face seemed to do the trick, creating an air of mystery and enticing the audience to who this character is,
It is only when we see the character at the door in a more casual red hoodie that we can assume that the wife must know this guy well enough to let him in the house.
Creating a key image: Stalkers face
I felt that the guys face should be a key part of the sequence, creating an idea that this guy is important and heavily involved within the movie. This would entice the audience as to why that is the case.
