1.0 Purpose of the Working Instruction (WI) Template This template is designed to provide the steps on how to install the Qlikview IE Plugin Client. This is a mandatory step. This installation only needs to be installed one time. The IE Plug-in client which runs in the Microsoft® Internet Explorer, offers a web based environment, while delivering a far richer user experience. The IE Plug-in gives a near pixel perfect reproduction of the QlikView application over the web. The plug-in also offers advanced features such as scroll bars, graphical selection, drill downs and search functionality. The IE Plug-in solution will require MS Internet Explorer version 5.5 or later. 2.0 Scope This section outlines the steps to install the Qlikview IE Plugin Client. 3.0 Definition and Acronyms 3.1 Role and Term

4.0 Work Instruction To Install Qlikview IE PlugIn

4.1 Steps 1) Open Internet Explorer (IE). 2) Type url “http://did.dksh.com/” and press enter. The below picture will appear.

3) Enter your lotus note user name and password on the text box provided. 4) Click the “Login” button to access the Qlikview Web Portal. If you are successfully login, the main

page will appear. If you failed to login, please email to [email protected] for support helpdesk. 5) The picture below shows the main page. 6) Click on the “Download IE Plugin” link to start installation. Please refer to the picture below.

7) Click on the “Run” button when the file download screen below appears.

8) “QvPluginSetup.msi” will be saved to your temporary folder.

9) Once “QvPluginSetup.msi” has completed the download to the temporary folder, the picture below

will appear. Click on the “Run” button. Please be patient while the component is preparing to install.

10) When the “QvPluginSetup” screen appears, click on the “Next” button.

11) For ‘Select Region’, choose “Other”, click on the “Next” button.

12) Checked on “I accept the terms in the license agreement” and click on the “Next” button.

13) Enter your user name and organization in the text box provided. Click on the “Next” button.

14) Click on the “Change” button to change the installation path if you do not want to install the

component on “C:\program Files”.

15) Click on the “Next“ button to proceed with the installation.

16) Checked on the “Complete” option button and click on “Next” to proceed.

18) Click “Finish” when picture below appears.

19) Open the QlikView main page, click on the “Refresh” button after installation.

20) If protected mode is enabled, on Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet options. Below screen will

appear and unchecked "Enable Protected Mode". Click OK button.

21) Click on IE refresh button or press F5 button.

22) If “Module Security for document" is appearing, check "allow any macro (only for trusted

documents)" and "Always use this option for documents from this QlikView Server".

23) If you missed out the first prompt of Module Security for Document, QlikView could not load or

assembly the approval process. The following prompt up screen will appear.

24) Press Ctrl + Shift+ M to enable the Macro Script execution in order to allow approval process.

Press OK button. If “Change Module Security”, select “Give System Access to Module Script” and press OK button.

25) You can start browsing or navigate to view the report.

5.0 Work Instruction to uninstall previous QlikView IE PlugIn and reinstall latest QlikView IE Plugin

5.1 Steps 1) If you encounter with the following message after you have click on the selected QlikView

document. Please do not directly click on the Download it here link.

** Note: Following message is displayed if you have unintentionally clicked on the Download it here link as in previous step.

2) Go to Start � Control Panel � Add or Remove Programs. Look for QvPluginSetup and click here for support information. Please ensure the latest version number as 10.00.8935.7.

3) Uninstall the previous version of QvPluginSetup by clicking Remove button.

4) Please restart your pc or laptop.

5) Once the previous version QlikView plugin has been uninstalled, please continue with the instructions listed in page 3, 4.1 Steps (follow from step 1 until step 19) to install with the new plugin.

6) Once the new version QlikView plugin has been installed, open Internet Explorer. Go to Tools > Internet Options > select Trusted sites > click sites > type http://did.dksh.com in the text box and click add button > close the Trusted sites window and the Internet Explorer.
