Message from the MD

Autumn’s record amount of rainfall rounded up the summer season but nevertheless Wibax is heating up like never before. The global eco-nomic recession has never really affected our expansion and growth plans. Our goal driven activity project is being put into place to prepare us to be even bigger and stronger in the face of failing market conditions. The company has a stable plan to embrace the challenges that we face and continue to grow with positive results. With this in mind, it is important that we opti-mize the use of our resources more effectively and through careful evaluation of the different department’s goal activities, we are confident that we can achieve this.

Holiday season is around the corner and every-one looks forward for quiet moments together with family and loved ones. My wish is that this winter will be cold and with plenty of snow as it should be, to give not only a good start of the heating season but as well as to give way to our favorite winter activities of skiing and snowmo-biling. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

2013 - We are ready!Jonas Wiklund MD WIBAX AB

During the last 10 years, Bodens Energy ex-panded its district heating system network with focus on small residential houses energy usage. Reserved oil boilers are strategically in-stalled across the areas where small villas are located where three out five boilers are fueled by bio-oil.Bodens Energy’s decision to go “green” was communicated early on to Wibax as well as their decision to change the fossil oil they are using with a renewable alternative, bio-oil.

WIBAX gave suggestions on products, sui-table equipments, trial testings, installations and optimization.Bodens Energy’s initial trial with the usage of

bio oil went well. After running-in the oil bur-ners, temperature and pressure accessibility has been the same for all boilers anywhere in their areas.

The difference that we experienced was that the frequency of sweeping ashes becomes more often, afterall the product is a residue by- product of vegetable origin, the ash beha-ves in a different way compared to fossil EO1.

- We burn WIBAX bio-oil for the second con-secutive year and we are very pleased with WIBAX as a responsible and reliable supplier, says Ulf Öberg, Boden Energy.

Bodens energY provides heat with WIBAX bio oil! A local energy company that

gives twice the benefits

BODENS ENERGY has been producing, selling and distributing electricity and district heating since 1980. Boden is our home market and it is where we concentrate on identifying the needs and creating customer value through effective and environmental friendly energy solutions.

The company was formerly owned by Vatten-fall, but since 2007 it is 100% owned by the municipality of Boden.

In a sense we deliver customer value with twi-ce the benefits, for any surplus in the opera-tion goes directly to reinvenstment in the com-munity for the benefit of Boden’s residents.

The size of the boilers fueled with bio-oil is 10 MW and 8 MW and every boiler installed has oil tank capacity of 80 m3. These are double-walled, insu-lated and heated up with di-strict heating system. The tank material is stainless steel or epoxy painted black iron pipe. From the tank to the burner the material is stainless steel.

WIBAX EnErGy – Focus on heat in the cold!A lot of new things are happening with our customers and even in WIBAX a lot of activities are also going on. In ad-dition to the valued customers that have been with us for quite some time now, we are continously having influx of new customers that inquire products and services that Wibax has to offer. This increasing demand of product and service requires that we maintain a good level of service and flexibility and at the

same time we maintain our focus on business areas that we intend to develop in the future.

We have recently restructured the company’s sales depart-ment where we added resources for Wibax Energy AB, a company that will focus on products related to the energy sector.

This year we made a number of major deals with bio-oil pro-ducts. This is very exciting for us and it gives us incentive to proceed further on this business area. We can provide customized liquid bio-oil for the Nordic cli-mate that has significantly lesser impact on the environment compared to fossil alternatives.

We keep our focus on energy-related products, expand our geographical territories as well as focus on district heating plants and mining industries.

In relation to above strategies, Wibax plans to expand the number of storage tanks to meet customer needs and ensure reliable deliveries. The latest investment is the addition of a new cistern tank in Skelleftehamn where we now have a total of three tanks serving bio-oil products.

The Swedish Energy Board has granted the Sustainability Statement Report for Wibax Energy AB. This means that Wibax Energy has a well placed and verifiable own control system for the bio-oil products we sell. Wibax Sustainability Report from the Energy Board benefits our customers for this can mean reduced fuel tax for them.

We offer a comprehensive solution to help our customers to be ”green” and be more energy efficient. Together, we review the product that can fit in their facilities and help with the installation, start up, optimization, evaluation, as well as pro-viding storage and logistics solutions.

nolIA ACT WiBax Corporate Values

Last 8th Novermber 2012, Jonas Wiklund and Magnus Sundström from Wibax Logistics, participa ted as lecturers at Nolia ACT in Piteå. They talked about the re-asons they believe are important why the company is chosen as the winner of the Major Road Trans-

port Prize 2012 under the Leadership category. They described how the com-pany has managed to grow over the years despite difficult market conditions and how important it is that all Wibax employees work on common corporate values.

”Nolia ACT” is a conference about future challenges and opportunities of an attractive employer. Competence availability and the incoming generation shift issues are the significant challenges ahead and the need to address these issues now is of importance.

WIBAX TErMInAl In ÖrnskÖlDsvIk The completion of the additional wall project in Wibax terminal in Örnskölds-vik is now finished.

Stage 1 is for building a wall made with standing concrete of a total volume of 17 000 cubic meters. Stage 2 was conducted with a bottom seal consisting of bentonite flooring with a HDPE membrane. The project ensures environ-mental safety as well as safety of the terminal. Similar project is planned on other Wibax terminals.

EsTABlIsHMEnT In GÄvlE

WIBAX continues t o expand the geographical areas it is serving and has now completed the establishment in Skutskärs port in Gavle. Presently, there is one cistern tank primarily for sulfuric acid but we hope to expand our pro-duct offerings in the future. At the moment, one tanker trunk is assigned in Gävle. We see Gävle as a strategically importan t area for WIBAX’s continued growth plans and therefore it is especially rewarding to be able to offer our customers sulfuric acid from the area. This is an important step to further strengthen our position as a competitive player along the Swedish coast.

- I have been working as a driver for WIBAX for almost 2 years now. We have the respon-sibility to supply and deliver Wibax products to the customers. It is equally important for us to treat our customers properly. The job is varied and it has given me the opportunity to learn more about my profession. We deli-ver a lot around Sweden, but we deliver also to Finland and Norway. I enjoy what I do!

- I started working for WIBAX in the spring of 2010. The following year, we formed WIBAX Industrial AB which offers ser-vice maintenance and repairs. We have the knowledge and skills to repair, protect and prevent damage to concrete and metals in many areas of industry, building construc-tion, municipalities, hydropower,etc..It feels good that after 25 years of serving these industries that I can offer my know-ledge and experience gained through out the years, together with Wibax’s visions to offer its customers total package solutions within this branch and even with new deve-loping industries.
