Helen Porter.Helen’s career in music covers a range of disciplines including theatre composer, singer, vocal coach, music director and workshop facilitator. She has worked on many and varied collaborative projects, and composed for both theatre and concert platform. Her skill and knowledge as a singer and vocal coach make her much in demand with choirs and vocal ensembles across the country. In all aspects of her work she comfortably crosses the boundaries between classical, music theatre and jazz.

Helen is a highly versatile and accomplished singer. She combines her classical background with a passion for jazz and contemporary music with the quartet

Misbehavin’. She has sung with the quartet since its formation in 2003. Misbehavin’ performs at jazz festivals, arts centres, private functions and venues across the country. Helen also founded and is musical director of the Big Jazz Choir in Calstock.

This workshop – How to Improve Your Singing needs no further explanation.

She was also one third of the harmony group 'Craig; Morgan; Robson' with Moira Craig and the late Sarah Morgan, and sings now as a duo with Moira Craig. She has also worked as a radio presenter for Radio 4 schools broadcasts and as a senior advisory teacher for the Voices Foundation.

Carolyn runs 3 choirs in Hampshire: Alton, Petersfield and Winchester Community Choirs.
