Traffic safety

Traffic safety always has the highest priori-ty.As the driver of a motor vehicle, it is yourresponsibility to pay attention to the trafficsituation at all times. Never use your carradio in a way that could distract you. Please keep in mind that you travel a dis-tance of 14 m per second at a speed of only50 km/h.Should the traffic situation become particu-larly demanding, we advise you not to usethe radio.Always make sure that you are still able tohear any warning signals coming from out-side of the vehicle, such as police or fireengine sirens, so that you can react accord-ingly.Therefore, you should always select a mod-erate volume for playing your car radio whileyou are driving.

Second KeyCardYou can also operate your car radio with asecond KeyCard.Refer to chapter “KeyCard theft protectionsystem” for more information. You can purchase a second KeyCard at anyspecialised dealership.

Care notesTo avoid possible problems, we recommendyou to use C-60/C-90 type cassette tapesonly. Store your tapes in a cool place awayfrom dirt, dust and temperatures exceeding50 °Celsius. Allow very cold tapes to warmup before playing them in order to avoiduneven tape transport. After approximately100 hours of use, dust particles collectedon the playback head or roller may lead totape run problems and sound distortions.Use a head cleaning tape to remove nor-mal dirt build-up. For tougher cases, use acotton swab (Q-Tip) dipped in alcohol. Donot attempt to clean by inserting a hard ob-ject into the player!
