C-O-N-N-E-C-T-I-O-N-S GREETINGS!
It has been a wonderful year for the field of early childhood. The U.S.
Department of Education awarded Virginia $17.5 million in the Federal
Preschool Expansion Grant. This funding will allow the Commonwealth
to serve as many as 1,600 additional at-risk 4-year olds in new, high
quality preschool classes. The grant will also enhance services to
approximately 1, 400 children in existing pre-kindergarten classrooms.
Norfolk is one of the participating divisions.
We would like to thank our presenters and attendees for your
participation in our Winter Wonderland and Networking Social held on
January 28th at Rainbow Station at Virginia Beach. The night was
