A low cost, wireless, visual warning solution for premises occupant safety applicationsThe WiLERT ‘Wireless Alert’ Beacon System is a ‘wirelessly’ networked, ‘wirelessly’ controlled, advance visual warning beacon solution for premises safety applications. It’s designed to deliver more obvious and more timely visual warnings to pedestrians and drivers that there is a hazard in their vicinity, thereby allowing that hazard to be avoided.

The system also allows temporary ‘safe zones’ to be delineated, such as:

• temporary rights of way, for example, where heavy vehicles entering a

• safe exit routes and designated muster areas during site emergencies

At the heart of the system are compact, weatherproof, battery powered beacons that are activated either:

• manually via wireless hand held or wall mounted remote controls, or• automatically via devices such as infrared (IR) photo beams, vehicle detection

radar, or pedestrian pressure pads.

Because it’s compact, wireless and battery powered, a WiLERT System is:

• simpler to design and deploy• faster to activate in response to a hazard • • more fault tolerant due to its peer-to-peer wireless architecture• able to operate even in a total power black-out•

TYPICAL INSTALLATIONS

Via hand held REMOTESPortable WiLERT Remote Controls allow ad hoc activation by authorised personnel.

Installations covering an area of more than 50 metres radius can have WiLERT Repeaters added to extend signal range. Any repeater hearing an activation signal repeats that signal to all beacons and all other repeaters in that security coded network.

Wall or bollard mountable, WiLERT Control Panels allow site personnel to activate a system as required. Like hand held remotes, they’re battery powered, and can be placed where they’re needed, either:

• within range of the beacons they activate, and/or

• in range of at least one other WiLERT Repeater (if installed to network enable an activation device)

Via VEHICLE detectionAutomated detection of vehicles passing a

wireless enabled devices, such as infrared beams, or inductive loops, allows system activation via a WiLERT Repeater.

Via PEDESTRIAN detection Automated detection of pedestrians passing

WIRELESS HAND HELD REMOTE CONTROL The WiLERT Hand Held Remote Control is small enough to carry in your pocket. It’s the ideal solution for any system where ad hoc manual activation by authorised users is required.

To activate your WiLERT System, simply press the ON button. Within 1-2 seconds every

beacons (or repeaters) are detected within wireless range. Remote controls are security-coded to your network’s unique encryption ID when shipped, but you can re-key them if you need to change your network ID.

Repeaters are 240VAC powered and have a long life back-up battery in the event of power failures. An optional Solar Charging System is available for sites where mains power isn’t

Their weatherproof enclosure can be mounted in any orientation - beacon up, beacon down or beacon to the side - to enable them to be positioned to best effect. Simply screw them to a surface, whether a wall,

topped, a bollard adapter can be supplied to suit.

Available with AMBER, RED, BLUE, or GREEN LEDs

SOLAR CHARGING UNITWhere mains power is not available, the optional solar charging will power any WiLERT Repeater. Ideal for systems installed on sites without mains power, or temporary work sites.

BOLLARD ADAPTER SLEEVES & BRACKETSNeed to mount to a bollard with a domed top, or on a temporary basis? Bollard adapter sleeves simply slot over the top of bollards, even ones with chains or wire attached near their tops. Adapter screws in the base of the WiLERT Beacon (optional) allow the beacons to be locked into place.

Available to suit 90mm, 140mm and 165mm diameter ROUND bollards, and 150mm SQUARE bollards. Custom bollard adapters on request.

Need to have an operator more than 100 metres from the beacons activate them? Or need to add an automated detection/activation device (e.g. a pedestrian pressure pad or infrared beam)? Simply add Repeaters as required.

SECURE, RELIABLE OPERATIONBecause the WiLERT System uses an encrypted (security coded) wireless network, it’s safe from being hacked or activated by other radio devices. It also means that multiple WiLERT Systems can be installed adjacent to one another. Simply select a different ‘security key’ for each system, and systems will quite happily operate side by side.

Additionally, because the beacons are battery powered, and the repeaters have battery back-up (and optional solar charging modules), a system will remain functional even if there’s a power black-out on your site.
