Organizations, governments, charities, educational institutions, women groups and the media celebrate this day .This special day recognizes the advances made by women and girls all over the world. It is a day on which women, men, girls and boys come together to celebrate, show solidarity and recognize the dreams, aspirations and empowerment of women. International Women’s Day is an opportunity to commemorate the bravery of women in confronting injustice. The women’s day celebrations details : Date: Saturday, March 7th, 2015. Time: 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM Venue: NEW Seminar Hall, KL University, Vaddeswaram Student Branch Advisor : Mrs Shahana Bano, Assistant Professor, CSE Dept, KLU. Student Branch Counselor : Ms N.Priya Asst. Professor – CSE Dept, KLU. Discipline Monitoring Members : Mrs.V.Divya, Ms.Anila Asst. Professor- CSE Dept, KLU As per Indian tradition the event started by the lighting the lamp by,Er. Koneru Raja Hareen,Vice President ,KLEF. Mrs. Koneru Divya, Member, KLEF which was followed by a prayer song .After the prayer song, program was started by welcome note followed by messages by Dr. A.V.S.Prasad,Pro-Vice Chancellor, KLU, Dr.L.S.S.Reddy,Vice Chancellor, K L U.Er.K Raja Harin,Vice President,KLEF and K. Divya member,KLEF. Then a wonderful and inspiring message was given by Guest of honour Mrs.Hima Bindu, Project Director, MEPMA. She received felicitation from University. Prizes were distributed to Students who showed best performance in sports Appreciation mementos were received by Mrs D.Radha Rani, D.Haritha Asst Professor CSE for their best performance in research.
