How it all started? e famous Tomorrowland was too far away and instead, there were too many students ready to party, so we came up with a solution, creating our own version of the party: Worcesterland! And with the idea being launched, preparations started: our logo was created, we rented the venue–the Pear Tree and then the actual party preparations began: DJ, lights, decorations, promotion of the event, there was a lot to do! Luckily, the whole Worcester Bright Futures committee got involved and so, the party was a success! As the date of the party was approaching, the party was starting to get a shape – the much awaited shape of fun! And fun it was! With an attendance of over 100 people, great songs being played, everybody having fun and enjoying themselves, we declared it a success and there are pictures to prove it! How we carried on From September onwards, Worcesterland was no longer a fresher so it had to live up to its name! So new parties came, new people joined! We aimed and succeed in having a social night for Worcester Bright Futures, hosted by Worcesterland every week! We had everything: pasta night, cocktail party, bowling, a classy party and so much more! With every party, people kept getting more excited and more curious about the next events! As Worcester Bright Futures is an academic society, having the Worcesterland section blends perfectly the way in which people acknowledge more their work area through the employability events and become more sociable and make new friends by attending the social events. However, as a new year began, we did not stop here! We decided we want to make the parties bigger, more glamourous and with even more to people eager to join them! So, we thought about this...

GATSBY NIGHTOrganised by Worcester Bright Futures

On 06.02.2015 – SIN – Worcester - the tempo of the city has changed sharply and all Gatsby guests were dressed in their finest attire. The décor

was mesmerising and the music never stopped... The event started at 9PM – all guests were welcomed at the VIP and

treated with a glass of a liqueur and a champagne - followed by shisha and all night photo shooting...

Indeed - starting the second semester with Gatsby night was another big success for Worcester Bright Futures society. 128 guests in total where 87 of

them became members of the society. Last but not least a big thank you to all Gatsby guests, our

Photographer Connor Hourihanne and of course to Worcesterland for breaking the boring university rules and get everybody to PARTY HARD!

If you think that you cannot repeat the past? Why of course you can!

But in the meantime KEEP CALM and WAIT FOR WORCESTERLAND’s’

NEXT PARTY!

YOUR OLD SPORT, JAY GASTBY
