NI Science Park
• Initiated in 1998 and opened in 2005 by Gordon Brown • Established by DED in 1999 as a multi-site Science Park• Original purpose "To facilitate the commercialisation of NI's
research base through the vision of a Science Park in N. Ireland” • Mission: “a self-sustaining, internationally recognised Science
Park which is both Commercially and Research driven for knowledge based industries."

NI Science Park: 3 Strategic objectives
1. Provide ideal physical infrastructure for start-ups, scaling-up, global corporations and research institutes which meet Science Park criteria and Matrix strategy.
2. Provide structured support to early stage companies • Mainly through NISP CONNECT & Halo• But also by staff leverage

• 20k gross sq ft (total) Co-Lab, owned and operated LYIT
