Entering God’s Holy Presence
Declaration of Dependence
UR help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth! Psalm 124:8
The Law of God
OU shall have no other gods before Me.
You shall not make for yourself a carved image.
You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Lord, have mercy upon us, and incline our hearts to keep these laws.
Honor your father and your mother.
You shall not murder.
You shall not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet.
Lord, have mercy upon us, and write all these your laws in our hearts, we beseech you. From Exodus 20
Prayer of Confession & Forgiveness
LMIGHTY and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from Your ways like lost sheep; we
have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts; we have offended against Your holy laws; we have left undone those things which we ought to have done, and we have done those things which we ought not to have done; and there is no health in us.
O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders; spare us, as we confess our faults; restore us, as we are penitent, according to Your promises declared to us in Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake, that we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life, to the glory of Your holy name. Amen.
Praising God
The Lord’s Prayer & Prayer for Pure Worship
UR Father, who art in heaven: hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on
earth as it is in heaven; give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Songs XLet Us Worship Lord Jehovah
Waiting in His holy presence, Silent now before His throne, Let us worship Lord Jehovah, Bringing gifts to Him alone.
We will bow before His majesty, Loving Him with hearts aflame, Kings and priests to serve His righteousness, We will stand and praise His name.
Chorus For he is holy, holy, holy is His name! (2x)
Lifting high the royal banners, We proclaim His kingdom We will crown Him King forever, We exalt His glorious name.
King and Lord of all creation, Sovereign in authority, We will never cease to praise Him, Throughout all eternity!
Chorus (2x)
Reigning in His holy presence, Silent now before His throne, Let us worship Lord Jehovah, Bringing gifts to Him alone. (repeat final 2 lines)

Morning Sermon Notes Let Us Be Grateful Rev. Danny Hyde, Pastor Hebrews 12:25–29 Studies in Hebrews #38
We’re getting close to the end of our exposition and application of the Letter to the Hebrews. Jesus is better and greater than angels, Moses & Joshua, the priesthood, the sacrifices, and the tabernacle/temple. In light of his greatness that is ours in the New Covenant, the author exhorts us to persevere in the race of faith. Now he calls us to this once more. Let’s listen to what the Holy Spirit has for us
today…
Do Not Refuse (vv. 25–27)
The Lesser
The Greater
Let Us… (vv. 28–29)
Be Grateful (v. 28a)
Offer Acceptable Worship (vv. 28b–29)

Opening Scripture
OR while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
For one will scarcely die for a righteous person— though perhaps for a good person one would dare even
to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
From Romans 5

Prayers
Intercessions
Sunday before Easter
LMIGHTY and everlasting God, who, of your tender love towards mankind sent your Son, our Savior Jesus
Christ, to take upon himself our flesh and to suffer death upon the cross, that all mankind should follow the example of his great humility: mercifully grant, that we may both
follow the example of his patience and be made partakers of his resurrection; through Jesus Christ our Lord. And all of God’s people say, “Amen.”
General Thanksgiving
LMIGHTY God, Father of all mercies, we, your unworthy servants, do give you most humble and
hearty thanks for all your goodness and loving-kindness to us, and to all men.
We bless you for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings of this life; but above all, for your inestimable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ; for the means of grace, and for the hope of glory.
And, we beseech you, give us that due sense of all your mercies, that our hearts may be sincerely thankful; and that we may show forth your praise, not only with our lips, but in our lives, by giving up our selves to your service, and by walking before you in holiness and righteousness all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be all honor and glory, world without end. Amen.

Evening Sermon Notes Creator of Heaven and Earth Rev. Danny Hyde, Pastor Acts 14:8–17 Studies on the Heidelberg Catechism #9
Our only comfort in life and death is belonging to Jesus. Now that we’ve placed simple faith in him to be mercifully delivered from our misery in sin, we need to grow in our knowledge and appreciation of who God is. Let’s listen in to what the Holy Spirit has in store for us today…
BIBLICAL: ACTS 14:8–17
THEOLOGICAL
APOLOGETICAL
PRACTICAL
Q. 26: What do you believe when you say, “I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth”?
That the eternal Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who out of nothing created heaven and earth and everything in them,
who still upholds and rules them by his eternal counsel and providence,
is my God and Father for the sake of Christ the Son.
I trust God so much that I do not doubt he will provide whatever I need
for body and soul, and will turn to my good
whatever adversity he sends upon me in this vale of tears.
He is able to do this because he is almighty God;
he desires to do this because he is a faithful Father.
