Jueves, 24 de julio de 2014 / Thursday, 24th july 2014 BULLETIN Nº1 Yesterday evening took place the Opening Ceremony of the XIII World University Badminton Championship in the assembly hall, placed in the Séneca Building, in “La Asunción” University Residence, thus starting officially the Championship. It was an act full of institutional symbols and formality, where firstly the Spanish national anthem was heard while the Spanish flag was raised. Afterwards proceeded a countries parade where each Delegation was preceded by its national flag. The Spanish team paraded with the mascot of the championship 'Ukito'. Subsequently, it was the turn for the institutional speeches. The first member of the organizing committee was Mrs. Rosario Mérida who welcomed the delegations from the different countries. Later, Mr. Miguel Reina, the city councillor of sports of Córdoba, encourage athletes to enjoy the most important: taking part. He also highlighted the nomination of Córdoba as 'European City of Sports 2014'. The last one to intervene was Mrs. Allison Odell (Member of the Executive Committee of FISU) emphasized thepleasant impression towards the Sports venues as well as the great labour of the organization, especially the volunteers' participation. Finally, Mr. Manuel Torralbo, as General Director of the Universities of la junta de Andalucía declared open the Badminton championship. Besides, he expressed his gratitude towards the University of Córdoba for its trajectory organizing international sports events and encouraged to continue with this extraordinary career path. Once the Badminton Championship was officially inaugurated, it was the raise of FISU flag while it was played the university anthem 'Gaudeamus Igitur'. Then, as the protocol stipulates, an athlete from the host country, Marina Fernández, pronounced the athlete's oath of sportsmanship, followed by the referee's oath read by Amparo Rayo. The event concluded with a cultural programme which mixed the art of flamenco with a graffiti demonstration and a break-dancer as entertainment for the audience. Fusion of cultures in the Opening Ceremony of the 13th World University Badminton Championship Fusión de Culturas en la Ceremonia de Apertura del XIII Campeonato Mundial Universitario de Bádminton 2014 Ayer en la tarde tuvo lugar la Ceremonia de Apertura del XIII Campeonato del Mundo Universitario de Bádminton 2014 en el salón de actos del edificio Séneca, en los CCMM “La Asunción”, comenzando así de forma oficial. Se trató de un acto lleno de símbolos institucionales y formalidad, dónde en primer lugar sonó el Himno Nacional mientras se izaba la Bandera Española. Posteriormente se procedió al desfile de países donde cada Delegación estuvo precedida de su bandera. Junto al equipo español desfiló también “Ukito” la mascota del campeonato. Después fue el turno para los discursos institucionales. La primera persona en subir al atril fue la Presidenta del Comité Organizador, Da. Rosario Mérida que dió la bienvenida a las diferentes delegaciones de los países participantes. A continuación D. Miguel Reina, Concejal Delegado de Deportes del Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Córdoba, animó a los deportistas a disfrutar de “lo más importante”, la participación, y destacó la designación de Córdoba como “Ciudad europea del Deporte 2014”. Cerró el turno de intervenciones Da. Allison Odell (Miembro del Comité Ejecutivo de FISU) que destacó la grata impresión que había tenido en la visita a las instalaciones utilizadas del campeonato así como la labor de la organización en especial la del Voluntariado. Finalmente D. Manuel Torralbo como Director General de Universidades de la Junta de Andalucía declaraba inaugurado el Campeonato, después de agradecer a la Universidad de Córdoba la trayectoria en organización de eventos deportivos internacionales y animando a continuar con ella. Una vez inaugurado oficialmente el Campeonato se procedió al izado de la bandera de la FISU mientras se cantaba el himno universitario “Gaudeamus Igitur”. A continuación, como dicta el protocolo, una jugadora del equipo anfitrión, en este caso Marina Fernández realizó el Juramento de los Atletas, seguido del juramento a cargo de los árbitros que fue leído por Amparo Rayo. El acto concluyó con un programa cultural que fusionó el arte flamenco con grafitis y break-dance y que sirvió de entretenimiento a los asistentes.

Ayer en la tarde tuvo lugar la Ceremonia de Apertura del XIII Campeonato del Mundo Universitario de Bádminton 2014 en el salón de actos del edificio Séneca, en los CCMM “La A s u n c i ó n ” , comenzando así de forma oficial.
Se trató de un acto lleno de símbolos institucionales y formalidad, dónde en primer lugar sonó el Himno Nacional mientras se izaba la Bandera Española.
Posteriormente se procedió al desfile de países donde cada Delegación estuvo precedida de su bandera. Junto al equipo español desfiló también “Ukito” la mascota del campeonato.
Después fue el turno para los discursos institucionales. La primera persona en subir al atril fue la Presidenta del Comité Organizador, Da. Rosario Mérida que dió la bienvenida a las diferentes delegaciones de los países participantes. A continuación D. Miguel Reina, Concejal Delegado de Deportes del Excmo.
