Crown Lands Act
Revocation of Proclamation and Constitution ofTown of Palmerston
I, John Laurence Hardy, Administrator of the Northern Territory of Australia, acting with
advice of the Executive Council:
(a) under section 95(1) of the Crown Lands Act and with reference to section 108(2) of
that Act and section 43 of the Interpretation Act, revoke the instrument entitled
"Proclamation", dated 19 March 1982, in force immediately before the date of this
instrument:
(i) proclaiming the constitution of the Town of Palmerston and defining the
boundaries of that Town; and
(ii) published in The Northern Territory Government Gazette No. G12 dated
26 March 1982; and
(b) under section 95(1) of the Crown Lands Act, constitute and define the boundaries of
the Town of Palmerston as described in Schedule 1 and shown for information
purposes only outlined by the thick black line on the map in Schedule 2.

All that parcel of land at Palmerston in the Northern Territory of Australia containing a total area of 5843 hectares more or less and bounded by lines described as follows: commencing at the north-western corner of Lot 11479 Town of Palmerston; thence northerly by the eastern boundary of McFarland Road to its intersection with the southern boundary of Kirkland Road and generally south easterly by the said boundary of Kirkland Road to the intersection of the prolongation of the southerly boundary of Section 70 Hundred of Bagot; thence easterly across Kirkland Road along said prolongation and by southern boundaries of Sections 70, 71, 5105 and its prolongation easterly to a western boundary of Lot 11821 Town of Palmerston; thence generally northerly, north-easterly, and westerly by the western, north-western, and northern boundaries to the north easterly corner of lot 12956; thence generally south-easterly by the north eastern boundary of the said lot to the westerly prolongation of the most southern boundary of Section 4228 Hundred of Bagot; thence easterly across the Stuart Highway by the said prolongation and boundary and the southern boundary of Section 3376 to its south-eastern corner; thence south-easterly to the north western corner of Section 3281; thence south-easterly, northerly and generally south-easterly by a north-eastern, a western and north-eastern boundaries of Lot 4198 Town of Palmerston (former North Australia Railway corridor) and its prolongation south-easterly across Taylor Road to the northerly prolongation of the western boundary of Section 273 Hundred of Bagot; thence southerly by the said prolongation and boundary and its prolongation southerly across Stuart Highway and Lambrick Avenue to the north-western corner of Lot P of Survey Plan LTO62/1; thence southerly by the eastern boundary of Radford Road, the western boundary of Section 4857 Hundred of Bagot and its prolongation southerly to the northern boundary of Lot 4254 Town of Palmerston; thence easterly and southerly by part of the northern and the eastern boundary of the said lot to the centreline of Brooking Creek; thence generally south-westerly by the centreline of Brooking Creek to the centreline of Mitchell Creek; thence generally south-westerly by that centreline and its prolongation south-westerly to the centreline of Elizabeth River; thence generally north-westerly by the said centreline to the centre of the mouth of Elizabeth River; thence north to intersect Low Water Mark on the eastern side of East Arm; thence generally northerly and north-westerly by the said Low Water Mark and by straight lines across the mouths of intersecting creeks to the south-westerly prolongation of the centreline of Hudson Creek; thence generally north-easterly by the said prolongation and centreline to the southerly prolongation of the most western boundary of Lot 5897 Town of Palmerston; thence northerly by the said prolongation and the western boundaries of Lots 5897, and 11479 to the point of commencement.
