How to print to the Ricoh Copy Machines using Secure Mode. When you send a print job to the Ricoh copiers for the first time you will need to follow these steps in order to successfully use the Secure printing function. 1 When the print window appears select the Ricoh copier you wish to use. 2 Some programs use different print windows for configuring the print options so follow the directions for the program you are printing from: A) If printing from Microsoft Word: 1) Click on the box that says “Copies & Pages” and select “Job Log” from the list that appears. 2) In the User ID box enter a user ID that will identify you, such as your last name. This box supports up to 8 characters.

How to print to the Ricoh Copy Machinesusing Secure Mode.

When you send a print job to the Ricoh copiers for the first time you will need to follow these steps in order to successfully use the Secure printing function.

1 When the print window appears select the Ricoh copier you wish to use.2 Some programs use different print windows for configuring the print options so follow

the directions for the program you are printing from:A) If printing from Microsoft Word:

1) Click on the box that says “Copies & Pages” and select “Job Log” from the list that appears.

2) In the User ID box enter a user ID that will identify you, such as your last name. This box supports up to 8 characters.

3) Click on the arrows in the box labeled “Job Type” and select “Locked Print”.

4) The box labeled “Password” should no longer be greyed out. Enter the PIN that the Office has given you to use in this box.

B) If printing from Adobe Acrobat Reader:1) Click the “Printer…” box toward the bottom of the print window.

2) A new window should have appeared. You will need to click on the dropdown box labeled “Layout” and select “Job Log”

3) Follow steps 2-4 of the “Printer from Microsoft Word” section above.

3 After completing the above steps you will want to save these settings, so that you do not have to do these steps every time you print.A In the Print window select the box labeled “Presets” and select “Save Current

Settings as Preset”

B Name the Preset for these settings, i.e “Ricoh-Copiers” and select the bullet “All printers” under the “Preset Available For:” section.

Secured printing is now enabled for your MacBook. When you print to the Ricoh copiers ensure that the Preset selected in the print menu is set to the saved preset from earlier. To retrieve your print job from the copiers you will need to follow these steps.

1. Go to the Copier that you sent your print job to.2. On the main screen you will want to press the Printer button.

3. Inside the Printer menu you will need to press “Print Jobs.”

4. You should now see the print jobs that have been sent to the copier and awaiting to be processed. Look through the list of User IDs and find your ID.

5. After you have select your User ID you will see all the print jobs that you have sent to the copier that have not been printed yet. You will need to select the job that you sent and then press “Print”. If you sent multiple jobs, you can select one and then select “Select All Jobs”.

6. Having select to print the copier will ask for your password. This is the password that was assigned to you by the Office for use on the copier.

After entering your password and pressing OK your jobs should start printing.
