Opening Controller

1. Firstly open the XBOX 360 Con-troller by removing the 7 screws (using a secure T8 Torx Screw-driver). Remove the battery pack. Please note one screw is under-neath the warranty sticker. For a full guide on opening the XBOX 360 Controller please look at the 'How to Open an Xbox 360 Controller'

2. Then turn to controller to the front facing up (be careful to hold the faceplate down so the buttons dont fall out). Then remove the thumbsticks and top buttons (LB and RB).

Remove Old LEDs

.Then using your soldering iron and solder cover one of the LEDs in solder (also known as 'bathing') so it becomes loose and and be taken away either by the soldering iron or by a set of tweezers.

. PLEASE TAKE CARE WHEN DOING THIS AND MAKE SURE THE LEDS ARE LOOSE BEFORE REMOVING OR IT WILL RUIN THE CONNEC-

TION POINT.

Check Old LEDs

Now put the Battery pack in. And using the rubber connection point place it over the mother-board and press the button where the guide button nor-

mally sits.

There should now be only 3

LEDs turned on.

Soldering New LEDs

Get your JmodsCustomConsoles LED Mod Kit and open up to find the LEDs. Carefully peal back the plastic to remove one LED. Place one LED on the Mother-

board.

Now using Tweezers (or your finger) place the LED over the old connection point. (may Not work first time flip

it around)

Hold it in place and Remove

the battery pack

YOU MUST REMOVE THE BATTERY PACK OR IT MAY CAUSE DAMAGE WHEN

SOLDERING

Soldering New LEDs

This is a tricky bit were you must hold the LED in place whilst soldering. All it needs is a 1-2 second touch to either side and it should hold in place. (if not check the connection point, it may have no sol-der on it when bathed it. Add solder by running sol-der over it when the LED

isn't there)

Now put the Battery Pack back into the controller and turn on using the rubber

connection pad.

The new LED Should now be

working

Finishing Controller

Now repeat all steps for the other three LEDS to get the

final result.

Note : You can mix and match colours for your own

personalised look

Put Controller back together and enjoy your new personalised con-

troller.
