Yekaterina Lobysheva

Yekaterina Lobysheva was born on March 13, 1985 in Kolomna. When she was a pupil, her P.E teacher Bissarnov I.I. helped her to be interested in speed skating.

She’s specialized in the distance of 1000 m., 15000 m. and Team Pursuit.

She won a bronze medal in the Women’s team pursuit at the 2006 Winter Olympies. In the season of 2005-2006 she had great results: she was the first on 500 m and the 4 th on 1500 m. She finished sixth in the ranking.

In 2008 she was in the first place on the 500 m. at the European Championships. Unfortunately she didn’t win any medals ancouver. But she is taking part in many competitions.

Nowdays she is preparing for Winter Olympies in Sochi.

I’m proud of the fact that she was born in my native town and studied in the same school as me. She achieved great results. I wish her victories in Sochi.
