•D – A Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university (with appropriate CPEs).
•A degree waiver may be requested with a minimum of 10 years experience.

1 – One year of experience in the contracting field (Contract Management or related business areas: (finance, program management, &/or, etc.).

• A – Action. Develop an Action Plan and Execute the Plan.
1.Pull together your: a) resume, b) transcript(s) & c) training certificates (make copies to submit).
2.Complete the eligibility application for certification testing.
3.Submit the completed package (1 & 2 above) and pay the eligibility evaluation fee.
4.Upon approval determine the method of testing (Testing Center or Chapter proctored location). Pay the appropriate fee and set testing date and test.

• D - Degree waiver will be considered with 10 years of contract management/administration experience.– Provide proper documentation to the NCMA HQ
certificate administrator.• Business related degree & training – any business or
contract classes over the basic 4 year degree is eligible for 15 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits per semester hour. A 3 credits semester class will earn 45 CPEs (3X15 = 45).
• Note: 5 quarter credits are equal to 4 semester hours.

• A Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) certification validates your education, training, experience, and knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code.

• Contracting professionals who deal with commercial contracts and have a minimum of one year of experience.

CPCM Certification – Backup ChartsD 1 A• A Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) certification demonstrates
recipient has met NCMA’s:– highest standards for education, training, and experience, and– Demonstrated knowledge of the contract management competencies in
the Contract Management Body of Knowledge.• How to prepare for the exam:
– CPCM Study Guide, Second Edition– Contract Management Body of Knowledge (CMBOK), 3rd Edition, July 2011 – Desktop Guide to Basic Contracting Terms– Practice exam
• Who takes the certification exam? – Contracting professionals who have mastered the majority of the contract
management competencies in the Contract Management Body of Knowledge (CMBOK), have extensive business education and training, and a minimum of 5 years of experience.

• 1 – One year contract experience is required to obtain your CFCM or CCCM, but it is recommended -- if you attempt this approach -- to have numerous training classes under your belt or your “cap & gown.”
