Bachelor’s Degree: Hold 12th Standard or equivalent (12 year of education) Certificate of Secondary/High School Medium of Instruction in English or

Proof of English Language Proficiency

Students with scores between 5 and 5.5 on the AIT Test (or an equivalent score) will be required to attend English writing courses until they pass the English course – Academic and Technical Writing with a grade of ‘C’ or higher; these students are encouraged to attend the AIT Bridging Program

Students with scores less than ‘5’ on the AIT Writing Test are required either to attend AIT’s English for International Education (EIE) course (Go to the AIT Language Center website for details.) before their first semester, or those who do not attend EIE will be required to attend at least six hours of English classes per week and not allowed to carry more than 9 credits per semester until they improve.

Exemption Applicants who are citizens of and have been educated in an English-speaking country (e.g., Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, and the USA) are exempted. Proof of citizenship and studies must be submitted.

Certificate of English Medium Instruction Applicants who have earned a degree at a university at which English is the sole medium of instruction is English, may submit a document signed by the university Registrar attesting to English medium instruction. NOTE: Not all English-medium schools meet AIT standards for proficiency and their applicants may be required to submit a valid test score.
