Zadok the Priest Be a part of a TSS special community musical event 23.08.2018 PREP HALL TSS WILL PROUDLY PRESENT A PERFORMANCE OF HANDEL’S ‘ZADOK THE PRIEST’ THAT WILL FEATURE A CHOIR AND FULL ORCHESTRA Who can be part of this great performance? We are looking for anyone associated with TSS both past and present who would like to be part of this very special musical event. We need: • Vocalists both male and female, young and old(er)! If you want a chance to sing in a 200-piece choir, then this is your opportunity. You do not have to be a great singer- You just need to be willing to have fun and give it everything you have! • String players- violins, violas, cellos, double basses- If you were part of the music string programme or can play any of these instruments then we need you! • Bassoonist and oboists - very rare, but we know you are out there! THURSDAY 23 AUGUST 2018, 6.30PM, PREP HALL There are five rehearsals planned: Rehearsal 1: Sun 22 Jul, 10am - 12noon, Prep Hall - Orchestra only Rehearsal 2: Tues 24 Jul, 6-8pm. Choir, Prep Hall Rehearsal 3: Mon 6 Aug 6-8pm. Choir, Prep Hall Rehearsal 4: Tues 14 Aug, 6-8pm. Orchestra 6-7pm, Prep Hall Rehearsal 5: Tues 21 Aug 21, 6-8pm. George Frederic Handel Zadok the Priest’ was composed by George Frederic Handel for the coronation of King George II in 1727 and is Handel’s best-known Coronation Anthem.
