Our Business RE-REFINING ZAHARA Group owns two re-refining plant; located at Sharjah, UAE and at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Both the facilities are well equipped with state of the art re-refining techniques and follow the local Health, Safety and Environmental norms and standards. The plants produce recycled base oil, recycled diesel and fuel oil as an end product. Our expertise in re-refining is amongst the best in the industry. We have built a good reputation over the years in processing and recycling used oil and the quality of our end product is well accepted among our customers.

TRADING The petrochemical trading division of ZAHARA Group was started in 2003 to leverage its well established distribution network and to further enhance our market presence across the world. Today, we are one of the leading providers of downstream petroleum products such as Crude Oil, Bitumen, Fuel Oil, Base Oil, Diesel, Naphtha, RPO, Grease and Lubricant. Our experience in trading of petroleum products in the region over the last several years has helped us understand the requirements and preferences of our customers. We have established a good reputation among our suppliers as well as customers and strengthen our business network in Africa, Middle East and Asian countries .We value our commitment towards providing the best service to our customers.

New Projects

STORAGE TERMINAL A STRATEGIC ASSET IN TRADE In coming years, a large share of the petroleum products demand is expected to come from Asia, Middle East & Africa. As a result, trading hubs like UAE and Singapore will see increased transactional activity. To strategically upon leverage this opportunity; Zahara Group is setting up an ultra-modern storage terminal at Al Hamriyah port in Sharjah (United Arab Emirates) in close proximity to the Strait of Hormuz. With a third of global oil exports passing through the region, the addition of oil terminal is set to take the trading capabilities of the firm to the next level. It brings enhanced flexibility in pricing, ability to fulfill bulk orders and meet fragmented distribution requirements. At the same time, the firm can now insulate itself much better from selling goods at suboptimal prices and also save on rentals during waiting period for making sales at better prices. LUBRICANT & GREASE INDUSTRY MANUFACTURING AND MARKETING

The global lubricants demand is rising, fueled by the increased automotive demand and growing manufacturing sector especially in the emerging economies. Recognizing this market opportunity, Zahara Group has entered the manufacturing and marketing of Grease and Lubricants under the LUBISLE Brand. The products to be manufactured in the new Zahara Grease and Lubricants plants ranges from Hydraulic Oils, Gear Oils, Engine Oils, Viscosity index improvers from Lubricants Production units and Lithium and Calcium grease from Grease Production units. While the Middle East demand is dominated by the automotive sector, African and Asian economies demand is driven by industrial as well as automotive sector. Keeping this in mind, the product portfolio is designed to meet a wide range of Automobile and Industrial requirements. Zahara is also setting up a wide distribution network across Middle East, Asia and Africa. There is a stable growth of 25% in revenue in the past three years, backed by strong sales in the Middle East, Singapore, India and parts of Africa. The growth is expected to steadily continue for the next three years and the revenue is estimated to reach $800 million by the end of the year 2016-17.

A phenomenal growth in net profit of 116% was recorded over the last three years and it is estimated that the net profit would double in the next 3 years. The annual growth in net profit is estimated to grow at a rate of at least 20%. The gross profit recorded in 2013-14 was $50 million, which is more than double the revenue of $23 million in 2011-12. The gross profit is expected to quadruple to $92 million from 2011-12 to 2016-17.

For example disposing used oil in wrong manner has the potential to pollute land, water and infrastructure. In fact it takes only one liter of oil to contaminate one million liters of water. So we need to recover and recycle as much as possible.
