Study #1 - Zemea® performs well in a bleached hair tress analysis for shampoo (5% polyol):

• Ease of spreading in application of a shampoo

• Ease of wet combing and clean moisturized/ conditioned feel in the wet stage

• Ease of dry combing, body/fullness and moisturized/conditioned feel in the dry stage.

Study #3 - Increased moisturization level on chemically-treated hair* under extreme heat:

Increased moisturization on chemically-treated hair was demonstrated using a Zemea® solution.

Study #2 – Increased Viscosity with less salt addition: A viscosity test was conducted with 3 different clear shampoo formulations, each made with 5% PG, 5% BG or 5% Zemea®. The Zemea® formulation exhibited an increased viscosity requiring 36% less NaCl than the PG formulation and 57% less than the BG formulation.

Study #5 - No Skin Irritation or Sensitization:A RIPT skin test was conducted on over 200 individuals with Zemea® and PG. No skin irritation or sensitization was indicated for Zemea® even at concentrations as high as 75%.

Study #4 - Consumers prefer shampoo (5% polyol) and leave-on aqueous solution (10% polyol) made with Zemea®*:

• In a shampoo formula, Asian consumers rated the Zemea® shampoo higher or equivalent on almost all of the sensorial attributes.

• In a Leave-On formulation, Asian consumers rated the Zemea® solution higher on all of the sensorial attributes.

Study #6 - Zemea® boosts effi cacy of preservatives in a formulation under CTFA challenge tests:

Seven different preservatives were tested at 50% of the recommended level in a skin care emulsion. The Zemea® level was varied from 0% to 6% to determine the minimum level of Zemea® needed to pass the challenge testing.
