Zoom Q8 Camera (Webcam)
In this tutorial, we provide steps to connect and setup the camera as a webcam
for use with Zoom conferencing software.
Step 1: Open the Camera bag.
The camera bag main compartment contains the camera, a tripod
mount, microphone windscreen, lens hood, USB cable and a flash drive
with the camera driver. The side pocket contains a USB extension
cable to extend the distance the camera can be positioned.

Step 2: Inspect the Camera.
The camera has a lens cover attached with a cord. Press the mic
release button to rotate the mic in the vertical position shown below.
The foam windscreen can be slipped over the front of the microphone.

Step 3: Turn on the camera.
Open the flip-out touchscreen then press and hold the power button on
side of camera until the display is activated.

Step 4: Install the Driver.
There is a flash drive in the camera case that contains the software
drivers necessary for the camera to be used as a webcam. To install
the driver, insert the flash drive into an available USB port on the com-
puter. When the flash drive is available, double-click on the Q8
Webcam Driver.exe file and install it. Once installed, the camera will
be listed as an available audio and video device in Windows and Zoom.

Step 5: Plug the camera into the computer.
Rotating the microphone up allows access to the rear connections. Plug
the included USB cable into the back of the camera and the other end
into the computer .

Step 6: Set camera to Webcam mode.
Once the camera has been plugged in, you will be prompted to select
the camera mode. Touch Webcam, then PC/MAC. When prompted
“Are you sure?” touch Webcam.

Step 7: Webcam is now available.
You are now be ready for your Zoom session.
