SERIES STORYLINES » Lenoir-Rhyne leads the all-time series with Coker 12-6 but is coming off

the most lopsided loss in series history. On March 20, 2019, Coker handed Lenoir-Rhyne a 19-3 defeat in five innings.

» This serves as the South Atlantic Conference opener for both squads who didn’t meet a season ago.

» Coker has split each of their first two season series but haven’t played since February 8 against North Greenville. This will be the fifth and sixth straight home game for Coker to open the season. EARLY NAILBITERS

In her 22nd season at LR, Shena Hollar is just 22 wins shy of 900 for her head coaching career. Hollar ranks 11th in NCAA Division II among active head coaches in career wins and 12th among all active head coaches who have coached at least five years in winning percentage. Hollar has led the Bears to 13 NCAA Tournament appearances, including two NCAA Super Regionals. She owns 12 SAC Regular Season Championships and eight SAC Tournament Titles during her tenure at LR and has produced the program’s only All-Americans. Under her guidance, 101 players have earned all-conference ac-colades and 71 have been named All-Region performers. The Bears have finished in the top two of the conference standings in 14 of her 22 years. Hollar has won 74.6 of her games as the head coach at Lenoir-Rhyne and is 252-86 against South Atlantic Conference competition. Hollar has earned league Coach of the Year honors seven times.
