PRESIDENTIAL MESSAGEEvery month since I joined Rotary, I’ve looked forward to reading this magazine, especially the opening essay from our Rotary president. I’ll admit that as much asI appreciate a digital copy, I still revel in the tactile sensation of sitting down andleafing through the glossy pages. They are a treasure trove of photos andmemorable stories about our great organization — the one we all know and love. Ihave learned somuch over the years about service projects and lives that each ofyou have transformed.
All this was top of mind as I thought about our plans for promoting Rotaryworldwide in the upcoming year. Over the next 12 months, we are going to shinea light on projects that put Rotary service on display to the world, and we aregoing to do it strategically. Nick and I will focus on some of the highest impact, sustainable, and scalable Rotary projects from our areas of focus in what we callthe Imagine Impact Tour.
We are inviting top-tier journalists, thought leaders, and influencers to use theirchannels to help us raise awareness by reaching people who want to serve buthave not yet realized they can do it through Rotary.
That means we will harness digital technology to tell these stories — we will betweeting, posting, and “going live” to anyone who will listen. We must considerour environment, and part of that means not always traveling but continuing toconnect in meaningfulways as we have for the past two years.
We all feel the impact that Rotary service and values have on us. Now it’s ouropportunity to share that feelingwith others.

Power today comes from sharing information, notwithholding it. The main objective of this e-bulletin is tokeep the Rotarians connected, engaged and informedabout the whole month activity of RCJW. We presentbefore you the report of activities of this month andthoughts shared by the members here. Sharing is an actthat equates to caring. When we share, we are alsoimparting part and parcel of ourselves in order to signifythat we are secured enough to give to others. When weshare our views in words or deeds, we showcase a senseof humility and empathy to those in need. Through thise-bulletin, we transmit information which will informthe readers about the transition during this month. Thearticles at the end by IPDG &IP makes you aware of it.Being a Sawan month, I have added extra informationabout its significance and a recipe to top it up. Wait fora new surprisenext month. Remembering the 365 days walk !
Rtn Pratim Banerjee
District Governor
D:3250 | 2021-22
It has been an honour to serve you all, my fellow Rotarians in District 3250, as your
Governor. This past year has been an experience-of-a-lifetime and I would not trade it for
anything in the world. I have shared, debated, discussed and learned much about Rotary and
what it means to be a Rotarian. Yes, this experience has changed my life and has made me a
better person and a better Rotarian.
My Spouse Rtn Suchanda joins me to sound the same thoughts.
I am most thankful to the 107 Rotary Club Presidents of our district for being an active and
integral component of the world’s largest, oldest, most respected and No.1 service
organization. Many thanks to my club members, my advisors, committee chairs and
members, assistant governors, leadership team, and the PDGs and incoming Governors. My
gratitude also goes to RI President Shekhar Mehta for his leadership and inspiration.
Most importantly, THANK YOU to all District 3250 Rotarians for your continuous support,
enthusiasm, and commitment. You have demonstrated that "Serve to Change Lives" is the
utmost reason for us to be in Rotary –❤️ “Dil Se”. ❤️
At many public functions, I mentioned the three traits of a good Rotary leader:
1. Knowledge of Rotary.
2. Reaching out to serve others.
3. Delivering results.
You have grown in your Rotary knowledge. Now let's share it. LET'S TALK ROTARY. You
have reached out to serve others by doing club projects, cumulative, worth of Rs 10.5 Crores
and also Global & District grants and CSR funds for local humanitarian community projects,
and other worthy projects.
I am happy that we delivered results for membership retention and membership growth and
heart-warming contribution for The Rotary Foundation. Congratulations to the clubs that
have qualified for the Presidential Citation Award. I am proud of you and your good work.
Keep it up! I will continue to support all clubs and assist you in whatever way I can.
Although the Rotary year and my term as your Governor concluded on June 30, 2022, it is
also the start of a new Rotary year on July 1, 2022. I urge all District 3250 Rotarians to
support our, now, District Governor Rtn Sanjeev Thakur as we work together to “Imagine
Rotary”, thereby, “Serve to Change Lives” !
Rtn Suchanda, and I are very grateful and we thank you for the opportunity to serve you.
REMEMERING PAST
Dear Rotarian's & spouse’s,
It has been an honor to serve as President of The Rotary Club of
Jamshedpur West. In my wildest dreams, I never thought, I would attain
this status, when I joined Rotary in the year 2015. When you come to
the end of any experience, there is always a mixture of emotions - relief
that responsibilities are coming to an end, sadness that what you've
come to enjoy will no longer be there for you. But also excitement - in
taking what has been learned in the past year, and applying that to what
is to come.
And this year, I feel I have learned a lot. I can't begin to count the number
of people I have met and become friends with. Most of these people
would never have come into my life were not from Rotary. Every person
in this room, and all the people I have worked with this year have enriched
my life. I have learned from you and worked with you. The club has
received 42 awards this year. It was magical & historical moment for me
as well as the club. Woh kehte hai na ,kisi cheez ko shiddat se chaho, toh
poori kaynath ussey, dilna ne ki sazzish mein lag jati hai, kuch aisa he
mere sath hua, being 42nd President of RCJW our club received 42
awards, first DG from RCJW Rtn.Pratim Banerjee,we share same birth
date ie 25th May, when our DG was filing his nomination in2018- 19 as
club secretary I had signed his nomination papers, it's all Divine. My
thanks Dilse to each of you for your friendship, support and all the effort
you put forth to further our club.Special thanks Dilse to Rtn.Dr.Amit
Mukherjee, IPDG.Rtn.Pratim Banerjee,Rtn. Past President Amitava
Bakshi,Rtn.Past President Amresh Sinha, for their help and guidance. They

to my wife Rtn.Naina , Club secretary Rtn Neeta Agarwal, Club
Treasurer Rtn. Rajiv Talwar, Board members, my extended family ,as
they join me and work with me to support this club. All the best
Rtn.Nibha Mishra for the year ahead. You bring enthusiasm and a
determination to build a better club, which I think are outstanding. You
are going to have a fantastic year, and I"m looking forward to working
alongside you to help make it all happen. So, the time has come and, with
great pleasure, I now hand over the presidency to Rtn.Nibha Mishra ,
