4.1 GOVERNMENTDEPARTMENT OF PREMIER AND CABINET
The vision of the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) is to
be “Recognised and respected leaders in whole-of-government
policy and performance.”
The DPC work for the people of Victoria by helping the
government achieve its strategic objectives. They do this by
supporting the Premier, Deputy Premier, Special Minister of
State, the Ministers for Aboriginal Affairs, Equality, Multicultural
Affairs, Prevention of Family Violence, Veterans and Women, as
well as the Cabinet.
M2K Communications is the Preferred Enterprise Mobility
Partner for the DPC’s mobility procurement. M2K also provisions
International Roaming access and allowances for DPC staff.
"The Department of Premier and Cabinet has been involved with M2K
Communications since 2009 and we are extremely happy with the
services they provide.
Outside of what is mandated within the SPC (State Purchasing
Contract), our Department regularly reviews the market for best vendors,
value add is of high importance along with pricing and M2K ticks all the
boxes. An example to this is the upgrading of the devices iOS prior to
delivery. This means we can quickly deploy the handset as soon as it
arrives.
Compared to the TCS help desk, M2K are much quicker and efficient with
certain service requests, ie. 10 minutes turnaround time for a newmobile
number creation and same day delivery of purchase orders. At times there
is a requirement for urgency and it helps to know we have a vendor we
can turn to, to deliver when needed.

The fit between Crowe Horwath and M2K Communications was
a perfect one. M2K’s personalised service supported Crowe
Horwath through their negotiations with Telstra and helped

4.3 SPORT
AFL
The Australian Football League (AFL) is the highest-level
professional competition in the sport of Australian Rules
football. The league was founded as the Victorian Football
League (VFL) with its inaugural season commencing in 1897.
Originally comprising only teams based in Victoria, the
competition's name was changed to the Australian Football
League for the 1990 season, after expanding to other states
throughout the 1980s.
The AFL has a proud heritage and M2K Communications was
thrilled to partner with them to play a supporting role in their
future. M2K embraced the spirit of being part of the AFL team
when they needed help with their mobility solutions. M2K
provided the AFL with mobile internet connectivity for the
current preseason NAB Challenge.
M2K also supplied and implemented phone systems for AFL
Sports Ready affiliate regional programs across the country.

AusNet Services is Victoria's largest energy delivery service
business, owning and operating approximately $11 billion of
electricity and gas distribution assets that connect into more
than 1.3 million Victorian homes and businesses.

number to their meter count - which is over 700,000 electricity
meters and over 600,000 gas meters. That's a lot of families
