• Map of your area and list of emergency shelters
• Special items such as diapers, formula, prescription medicine, contact lens solution, spare eyeglasses, etc.
You might be without power and drinkable water during and after the storm so make sure you have these items on hand:
7-day supply of waterone gallon a day per person
• Keep trees and shrubbery trimmed of diseased and dead wood
• Cover all large windows and patio doors with securely fastened storm shutters made from 5/8" thick plywood or greater
• Secure doors using a security deadbolt lock with 1" minimum bolt throw length
• Fill available gasoline containers, keep them full until the end of the hurricane season
• Bring outdoor furniture, toys, garbage cans, potted plants, garden tools, etc. inside

Don’t forget your furry friends. Look after them by having the following on hand:
• Crate/carrier labeled with your contact information and pet’s feeding instructions
• Spoon for canned food
• Pet medications
• Pet toys, blankets and treats
• Litter, litter pan and scoop
• Plastic, regular size trash bags & sealable bags for disposing of solid waste, paper towels for accidents
• Leash, collar and/or harness
