S.E.A.S. Heritage Potluck Dinner This year we will celebrate our parish 42
nd Anniversary
with a potluck dinner featuring the many cultural heritages in our parish family. The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 16
th at
6 p.m. in the parish hall. Please note the flyer in the bulletin with a response form. Please respond via the collection basket or by calling the parish office 366-1750 X 6. You might want to consider sharing your heritage food recipe with others. There will be blank recipe cards at the church entrances so that you can explain to others how to prepare your heritage dish. These cards can also be placed in the collection basket.
Mass Intention Book for 2018 We are now booking mass intentions for next year. Please keep in mind the following when you request masses: Throughout the year there are only 156 possible weekend mass intentions. Of course, the Saturday and Sunday slots are “prime time” and everyone would prefer them. But it is not fair to schedule more than one of these per person. We ask you to limit the number of weekend mass requests to one per person per year. Please try to understand our policy of limiting weekend mass intentions to the anniversary of death (as close as possible), a birthday or perhaps the wedding anniversary. It is helpful to keep in mind that each mass is for all the faithful since the sacrificial death of the Lord was “once for all.” Please note: we would appreciate it if you would write down your requests with the name of the person for whom the mass is intended, the date, who is requesting it, and the phone number. You may leave it at the office or in the collection basket.
Dunkirk, New York August 19/20, 2017 Mass Intentions for This Year There are several mass time slots still available this year, including Thursday School Masses at 8:30 a.m. Can you help us fill some of these?
Rosaries Needed Rosaries in good condition are needed for Father Brown’s Mission in Peru. Please place them in boxes indicated in vestibules of the Church, or bring them to the Parish office.
