During the whole Global Village, every entity will have their
own booth to present their culture and special games. In the
Closing session, we will give award to the Best Participant
and the Best Entity.

Things You Need to Prepare for
Global Village
Booth
Every entity will have their own booth to present their
cultures. Here are some suggestion for decorating
booths:
1. Traditional / Special food (wrapped). It’s not allowed
to use power and cook in the plenary.
2. Crafts and costumes.
3. AIESEC souvenirs from your entity or LCs.
Please make sure things you bring will not disturb or
mass the plenary.
Talent Show
We highly recommend every entity to prepare a talent
show. We will have a stage for all the performing.
If you want to participate in the talent show, please
send the information of what you want to show
(including music) to Peter (CC Special Events,
[email protected]) before April 2th.
We will select some of them to perform on the stage
based on the diversity and quality.
Things You Need to Prepare for
Global Village
Games
Throughout the whole Global Village, every participant
can have a seal paper. They can win seals by
participating in every booth’s game.
Things you need to prepare:
1. A interesting game. Every entity will have a place
next to your booth to play the game.
2. A special seal which can mark the delegates who
visit your entity’s booth or participate your games.
CC will also prepare a suit of standard seals of all the
entities, and if you forget to bring one, you can
contact CC in the plenary.
2 Surprises for
Global Village
Best Participant
Participant who collect more than 20 stamps can get a
lottery and have the opportunities to win some beer.
Best Entity
In the closing session, every entity will have the right to
vote for 5 other entities according to the booth,
traditional game and talent show. The best entity voted
by all the entities will get 3 cases of beer as award.
Notices for
Global Village
Transportation
GV will start at 12:00 p.m. on April 5th. CCT will arrange
the buses to take all the delegates to the GV plenary
from hotel at 11:30 a.m. For those who will arrive at the
hotel after 11:30, there will be a CC helping you to take
the metro to the GV plenary.
Lunch
Delegates will arrive at the GV plenary at 12:00 p.m. on
April 5th, and the opening will be at 12:30 p.m., so there
won’t be enough time to have a lunch.
We recommend you to take enough special food to the
plenary so that all the delegates can taste food of
different entities as lunch. CC will also prepare some
bread and milk,.
Others
If there are less than 5 delegates in your entity, you
can choose to prepare the traditional game and
booth with other entity which is in the same situation.
You can contact by yourself or ask CC for help.
If you need more tables or something you can’t bring
to the venue, you can send a list of what you need
to Peter (CC Special Events,

attention to the network each carrier provided

How to use Internet
in Shanghai
Free Wi-Fi:
Wi-Fi Name: i-Shanghai is free-used in more than 400
public places including 2 airports.
Connect and fill in your information to receive an SMS
with password. (Available to local & foreign carriers)
(Your SIM card must be able to receive SMS to get Wi-
Fi password)
Wi-Fi in Shanghai Metro is not available to users with
SIM cards from foreign carriers.
You can also connect to free Wi-Fi in the hotel after
arrival.
VPN:
GFW (Great Firewall) blocks a few websites in China.
You will not be able to use Google,
Facebook/Twitter/Instagram or other social software
and websites without a VPN, a tool helps us to get
through the GFW.
For the next pages, we will recommend some VPN
brands which you can search for and give one VPN
guidance for Andriod/ios and Windows/Mac users.
However, we can’t assure you a stable VPN
connection due to different network environment and
devices, CCT will help you whenever it’s needed.

SHANGHAI
Weather: Spring is from March to May.
Temperatures climb from cool to warm. It
is a good time for traveling in Shanghai.
The weather feels comfortable with the
average temperature at around 15 °C
(59 °F).
Precipitation: There is moderate rainfall.
Take an umbrella with you .
Clothing: Sweaters and coats are
suitable for this season, but prepare
lighter clothes for warmer days.

Delegates can request a Shanghai Public
Transportation Card, which can be used to pay for
subway, city bus, ferry and taxi rides.
There are two kinds of Shanghai Transport Cards: the
Common Card and the Commemorative Card.
Purchasing a common card need a guarantee
deposit.
City Transportation
You can buy both the Commemorative Card
and the Common Card at all metro stations.
The Common Card has refund and value
transfer services. All metro stations provide these
services.
If you still have money in the card when you
leave Shanghai, you can get the money back at
the service desk in metro stations.

At present, there are 11 subway lines in Shanghai. A ticket costs 3 CNY
to 10 CNY based on distance. Subway Lines 1 and 2 link many famous
scenic spots in Shanghai.
For the route from airport to hotel, you can find
detail information in the 2nd booklet.
Metro
Metro TicketsWe recommend 3 types of Metro Tickets.
You can purchase them at all metro stations
Single Ticket
A ticket with a certain
amount of money which can
be used once in the metro
network at specified stations
within stipulated time.
One-Day Pass
The fare for One-Day Pass is
18 CNY. The day ticket holder
is entitled to unlimited
transportation times in all
metro lines (maglev lines
excepted) during operating
time within 24 hours.Three-Day Pass
The fare for Three-Day Pass is
45 CNY. The 3-day ticket
holder is entitled to unlimited
transportation times in all
metro lines (maglev lines
excepted) during operating
time within 72 hours.

Temple is a famous scenic
spot in Shanghai, a
temple with strong flavor
of ancient Chinese
architecture. There are so
many souvenir shops,
antique shops and
restaurants near the
temple.
You can pay for taxi by Cash or Public Transportation Card.
For delegates who use WeChat : Click “ Me” — Choose
“Wallet” — At the bottom , you can see “Order Taxi” (But
only operate in Chinese interface). You can also scan the
QR code showed by the taxi driver to pay the fee.

Taxi
Taxis are the most convenient means of transportation in Shanghai.
Taxis in Shanghai are mainly Santana. You can request a receipt
when getting off the taxi. If you lost your luggage or is not satisfied
with the service, you can file a claim for the lost luggage or a
complaint about the service at the company noted on the receipt.
Taxi is an expensive way of transportation.

If you need to buy daily necessities of life, you can find many
convenience stores, like 7-11, Family Mart around the hotel.
Tips: You can pay the price by using WeChat Wallet.

Maps: An default system software to plan your route. Only
can be used on iPhone.
AutoNavi navigation (高德导航): It provides English version.
And it also provides outgoing service and different route
planning.
Google Map cannot be used without a VPN.
Transportation App
DIDI Chuxing (滴滴出行) : Through DIDI, passengers are able to
get a taxi ride more easily. Passengers just need to send a ride
request through DIDI's APP and a taxi will pick up the
passengers no matter where they are. You can pay for taxi by
Cash or WeChat Wallet. DIDI only has Chinese version.
Uber: The users send a request to the Uber through iPhone,
SMS, Android, to find their own personal driver and then buy a
private car ride service. Uber in China provides English version.

Hotel Reservation App
Airbnb: It is a link travelers and homeowners rent homes
available service-oriented app, it can provide a wide variety
of lodging information for the user. It provides English version.
Travel App
Guides: It is an product of Lonely Planet, packed with tips and
advice from on-the-ground experts. It contains easy-to-use
offline maps, must-see sights, local restaurant, money
exchanger. It will help you a lot when you in Shanghai.
The Apps for Tourists in
Shanghai
1. Choose an postcard
2. Stamp. Under normal circumstances, you need to take
the shipping stamp affixed 3 yuan, 4.5 yuan stamp is
required aviation.
3. Fill in the delivery address. According to the other party to
fill in your address, under normal circumstances, the first
acts of the recipient's name, and the rest of the recipient's
address, the address in ascending order, the last line to
write the country's name, you can use the Chinese labeled
improve postal sorting speed.

International Arrival Hall in Pudong International Airport.
Pick-Up Arrangement:
1. Pick-up service will be provided on:
April 4th, 08:00 – 24:00
April 5th, 08:00 – 22:00
2. Pick-up service includes:
a) CC will wait you in the arrival hall in both Terminal 1
& 2.
b) CC will provide printed transportation guidance.
c) CC will gather delegates and accompany them to
the hotel by metro or taxi at:
April 4th: 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:00, 18:00, 20:00,
22:00, 24:00
April 5th: 10:00, 12:00
d) If delegates don’t want to wait for the above time,
CC will guide them to the metro station.

• Duration: Around 90 minutes. Cost: Around 7 CNY
• The Guanglan Road Station and Century Avenue Station are transfer stops. You could transfer to
corresponding subway lines without getting out.
• When you arrive at Dapuqiao Metro Station, please take exit from Exit 3. The walk guidance please

• There are two Metro Stations near Shanghai Rayfont Downtown Hotel, which is Dapuqiao Station
and Jiashan Road Station. The distance from both stations is around 0.5 km.
• If you arrive at Dapuqiao Station, please take exit from Exit 3(which is maked as , the right one, on
the following map. If you arrive at Jiashan Road Station, please take exit from Exit 2(which is maked
as , the left one, on the following map. Walk along the Zhaojiabang Road(肇嘉浜路), and you
will find the hotel(which is marked as on the following map).
• For your convenience, we also mark the north on the upper right corner of this map.
Other Tips
• Download a Map app before you come to China, such as Google Map, Baidu Map, or AutoNavi
Map. Downloading a offline map of Shanghai in advance would be better.
• We highly recommend you to print or save the transportation guidance for your reference at any
time. The Chinese version of routes may be helpful when you want to turn to passers-by for help. In
China, most young people could speak English, so you could talk to them when need.
• If you get into trouble when traveling, please turn to police nearby or call 110(Police Hotline) for
help.
• In the downtown of Shanghai, you could order a taxi almost at any time. A green sign means empty.
• For domestic delegates, If you arrive at a railway station, please find the route by yourself.
• The Chinese name and address of our hotel is provided as following: 上海徐汇瑞峰酒店,上海市徐汇区
肇嘉浜路7号. When you are in need, such as ordering a taxi, it would be helpful.

TIPS
• Please take enough cash with you for your payment during
check-in, the amount will be updated to financial payment
tracker on April 1st.
• Since only Chinese currency(CNY) will be accepted, please
prepare your cash in CNY before departure or exchange it
in nearby banks.
• Here are some of the banks near our hotel. Most of them
are within the range of 20 mins walk.
