Creekside Elementary School Interim Housing & Campus Repair Project
Start Date: November 2007 Finish Date: Construction - Dec. 2008, Classrooms Construction - May 2009, Admin & MPR Project Description: Creekside Elementary School, located at 1770 Kittery Street, is comprised of an Administration Building, Multipurpose Building, five (5) Classroom Buildings (20-classrooms) and (13) Modular Classrooms. Water intrusion into the permanent classroom buildings over the years created environmental conditions that make it necessary for classrooms be relocated to allow repairs. The scope for the classroom repair will focus on the exterior envelope and humidity control. The existing Modular Classrooms will also be upgraded with a fully automatic fire alarm system. The Campus Repair work for the classrooms is scheduled to start in June 2008. Repairs of the Administration and Multipurpose Buildings are scheduled to start in January 2009. In addition, construction of the Interim Campus will be made up of 20 Portable Classrooms and 4 Portable Restroom units. Project Statistics:
• Interim Housing of 20 Portable Classrooms plus 4 Restroom Portable units. • Campus Repair of 5 Classroom Buildings. • Fire alarm upgrade of existing Modular Classrooms. • Repair of Administration and Multipurpose Buildings.
Schedule Status: Site construction is at 99% complete. Currently addressing the final clean up of the site and closing out any remaining punch list items. All buildings are occupied as of April 20, 2009. Claims Status: No claims have been identified at this time. Next 30-Day Progress Projection: Following the removal of the remaining temporary interim housing units, the asphalt playground area will be repaired and the existing basketball hoops will be reinstalled at pre-construction locations. Once the asphalt repair work is completed, all temporary fencing will be removed from site.

Interim Housing & Campus Repairs Project Start Date: February 2008 Finish Date: Construction – Dec. 2008, Classrooms Construction – May 2009, Admin & New Modular Classrooms Construction – Aug. 2009, MPR Project Description: John Steinbeck Elementary School, located at 1714 Burlington Drive, is comprised of an Administration Building, Multipurpose Building, four (4) Classroom Buildings (14-classrooms), 2-Entry and Concrete Accessible Ramp Structures with Modular Classrooms (6-classrooms), a 2-story Modular Classroom Building and (6) Modular Classrooms. Water intrusion into the permanent classroom buildings created environmental conditions that make it necessary for the classrooms to be relocated to allow repairs of the buildings. The scope focuses on the exterior envelope and humidity control. The first phase of the repair work consists of the 4-permanent Classroom Buildings plus (6) Modular Classrooms Buildings. Campus Repair work for the classrooms is scheduled to start in June 2008. Repairs of the Administration and Multipurpose Buildings are scheduled to start in January 2009. In addition, Interim Housing will be made up of 8 Portable Classrooms and 3 Portable Restroom units. Project Statistics:
• Interim Housing of 8 Portable Classrooms and 3 Portable Restroom units. • Campus Repair of 4 Classroom Buildings / 6 Modular Classrooms.*see added scope • Repairs of Administration and Multipurpose Buildings. • Added Scope: New modular classrooms and site work.
Schedule Status: The roof reconstruction on Building B (Admin) is complete, while currently in progress is the installation of interior cabinets and carpeting. Buildings G, F & L (new permanent modular units) are currently being staged to be set onto the new concrete foundations recently completed. Selective demolition of Building C (MPR) has begun and the fire alarm upgrade work for building K is now complete. Claims Status: No claims have been identified at this time. Next 30-Day Progress Projection: At Building B (Admin), the interior finishes and all remaining test will be completed. Buildings G, F & L (new permanent modular units) will be installed and ready for occupancy. Building C (MPR) will continue with remaining demolition work.
