The paper we have printed on is from 80% post-consumer waste and the remaining 20% pulp is TCF(Totally Chlorine Free). This fibre is FSC certified (seefsc.org for details). In recognition, the range has beenawarded both the NAPM and Eugropa recycled marks,two of the most prestigious and recognisable recycledcertificates available. The ink we have used is vegetablebased, allowing the document to be recycled.

IntroductionThe KS1000 LS Longspan™ System is a cost effective architectural
wall system which provides quicker project completion, simpler
installation and guaranteed performance.
KS1000 LS Longspan™ wall panels can span up to 8.2 metres from
support to support, providing enhanced aesthetics and reducing the
need for secondary steelwork.

Available LengthsStandard lengths of 1.8 to 12.0 metres, 12.1 to 16 metre panels can
be supplied but are subject to a transport surcharge. Panels less than
1.8m long can be supplied and are subject to an extra cost.
Panel length
These panels cannot be end lapped.
Material – SteelSubstrate
• Standard external sheet thickness 0.63mm, standard internal
sheet thickness 0.63mm. Other thicknesses can be supplied to
special order.
Coatings – External Weather Sheet
• Kingspan XL Forté™: 200 micron thick high performance coating
applied to the weatherside of the panel. Designed to achieve
high levels of durability and colour stability and is highly
resistant to damage in transit and on-site.
• Kingspan Spectrum™ - polyurethane semi-gloss coating.
• Colorcoat Prisma™ - 50 micron thick coating. 16 metallic colours.
• HPS200 Ultra - Nominal 200 micron thick high performance coating.
• Reverse side of sheet coated with grey polyester coating.
• The steel is available in either plain or stucco embossed finish.
Coatings – Internal Liner Sheet
• Bright White Polyester: Coating developed for use as the internal
lining of insulated panels. Standard colour is ‘bright white’ with an
easy clean surface.
• Kingspan Aquasafe 200: 200 micron thick coating used in areas
where there is high internal humidity, or a corrosive environment.
• Kingspan Cleansafe: a chemically inert polymer film bonded to
steel substrate for cladding of cold stores, food processing
buildings and other hygiene applications.
• Reverse side of sheet coated with a light grey polyester coating.
• The sheet is available in either plain or stucco embossed finish.

KS600/900/1000 KS1000 LS Longspan™ wall panel with Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) approval for wall applications.
Application KS1000 LS Longspan™ is a frame to frame long spanning, secret fixed
system which can be laid horizontally and vertically. It is suitable for all
building applications except where there are low temperature
controlled environments.

QualityKingspan insulated panels are manufactured from the highest quality
materials, using state of the art production equipment to rigorous
quality control standards, approved to ISO 9001: 2000. Kingspan
manufacturing plants are ISO 14001 (Environmentally) and ISO 18001
(Health & Safety) accredited.
GuaranteesKingspan insulated panels are available with the Kingspan TOTAL
Guarantee offering 25 years thermal and structural performance
guarantee.
PackingStandard Packing
KS1000 LS Longspan™ panels are stacked face up and require turning
over during unpacking / erection.
Removable hot melt adhesive is laid between each panel. The top,
bottom, sides and each end are protected with polystyrene and timber
packing and the entire pack is wrapped in polythene.
The number of panels in each pack depends on the panel thickness,
as shown in the table below. Typical pack height is 1100mm.
Sea Freight
Fully timber crated packs are available on projects requiring delivery by
sea freight shipping, at additional cost. Alternatively, steel containers
can be used. Special loading charges apply.
DeliveryAll deliveries (unless indicated otherwise) are road transport to project
site. Off loading is the responsibility of the cladding contractor or
installer.

Insulation CoreThe core of KS1000 LS Longspan™ is a , closed cell PIR
insulation which is non-deleterious with zero Ozone Depletion Potential
(zero ODP).
SealsFactory Applied Side Joint Seal
All side joints have a factory applied seal fitted into the groove to
automatically seal the joint between panels.

Biological
KS1000 LS Longspan™ panels are resistant to attack from mould,
fungi, mildew and vermin. No urea formaldehyde is used in the
manufacture of the panels.
Fire
Steel inner and outer facings have a Class 1 surface spread of
flame to BS476 Part 7: 1987, and are Class 0 as defined by the
Building Regulations.
KS1000 LS Longspan™ is approved by the Loss Prevention
Certification Board (LPCB) to LPS1181. KS1000 LS Longspan™ panels
have a core which has been specially formulated to provide
the following benefits:
• Stable protective char
• No flash over
• No flame spread
• No flame propagation

All KS1000 LS Longspan™ panels have a single figure weighted sound
reduction Rw = 25dB.

7. The allowable steelwork tolerance between bearing planes of adjacent vertical columns is 10mm to NSSS (National Structural Steelwork Specification).
