BAPTISM: Parents who wish to have their child/
children baptized should contact the Parish Office for
arrangements. A preparatory session is mandatory
for the proper formation of parents and godparents.
MARRIAGE: Those wishing to enter a sacramental
marriage should contact the Parish Office at least six
months prior to the intended date.
VISITING THE SICK: Please inform the Parish
Office should a relative/friend who is homebound/
hospitalized need a pastoral visit or the Sacrament of
Anointing. A priest will attend to the Sacrament and,
as needed, will arrange for Holy Communion to be
brought to your loved one.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION & CONFIRMATION:
Preparations for the reception of these Sacraments
are taken care of by the Office of Faith Formation.
Please call the Parish Office and your message will be
forwarded.
A weekly TELEVISED SUNDAY MASS has
begun airing on WCBD, Channel 2. The Mass will
be broadcast both at 5:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
every Sunday. When you or someone you know is
unable to get to church due to sickness or physical
impairment, the TV Mass offers spiritual comfort
and inspiration.
DID YOU KNOW THAT CATHOLIC
COUNSELING SERVICES provides psychological
services to adolescents, couples and adults. For
information, call Dr. Mara Calderon, a Licensed
Clinical Psychologist, at 843-402-5417. Most
insurances are accepted. Services are
confidential.
SANCTUARY LIGHTS: We are thankful to Mr.
& Mrs. Matuskovic who make a monthly donation

The SECOND COLLECTION this weekend will

CRITERIA FOR "ACTIVE PARISHIONER
STATUS": Weekly participation in worship
through attendance at a weekend Mass evidenced
by your weekly envelope in the offertory, and
active involvement in a parish or school ministry,
and participation in Grateful Sacrificial Giving.
No use of envelopes for three months will place a
person or family as inactive. Envelopes/
contributions are recorded toward the week they
are received. If you give online, please turn in
your envelope at Mass and check "I give online." If
you turn in an empty envelope and do not give
online, please mark "My family attended Mass".

THE 7TH MARIAN EUCHARISTIC CON-
FERENCE will be held on Saturday, Novem-
ber 9 through Sunday, November 10 at the
Hilton Hotel in Greenville. Featured speakers
will include Fr. Wade Menezes; Fr. Chris Alar;
Fr. Donald Calloway; Dr. Ray Guarendi, Psy-
chologist, EWTN speaker; Msgr. Eduardo
Chavez. General admission is $80, youth is
$40 and it includes a buffet lunch on Saturday

HELP WANTED: St. Joseph Church is look-
ing for someone to fill a maintenance/repair
person position. This is a full-time position.
Duties include being able to fulfill basic
maintenance in the church and Family Life
Center and janitorial duties in the Family Life

llamar a la oficina 5 meses antes de la fecha
estimada para hacer los arreglos. La quinceañera

BAUTISMO: Los padres que deseen bautizar
a sus hijos deben contactar la Oficina
Parroquial para hacer los arreglos. Una
sesión preparatoria es obligatoria para los

MATRIMONIO: Aquellos con deseos de
entrar al Sacramento del Matrimonio deben

trabajos que concuerden con nuestras habilidades,

Ser un administrador es ser un cuidador (recuerde
que no somos dueños; ¡Dios es el dueño máximo!).
A un cuidador se le confía los bienes y propiedades
de alguien más, y habrá un cálculo de la confianza
depositada en cada uno de nosotros. Solo una
mente que comprende esto puede activar su
corazón para responder en/con gratitud. ¿Cómo
logramos esto? Respondemos. Damos de vuelta a
Dios una porción del tiempo que Él nos ha dado;

Ref.: Prácticas para los Monaguillos
Gracias a todos aquellos que sirven como monaguillos. Realmente apreciamos
su ayuda.
Además queremos motivar a aquellos que están pensando en ser monaguillos
a que vengan y pasen a formar parte de este servicio. ¡Este ministerio es muy
importante! Necesitamos monaguillos que deseen ayudar y aceptar el com-
promiso.
Para participar sólo necesitan haber recibido su Primera Comunión y asistir
a las prácticas:
Monaguillos actuales: DEBEN asistir por lo menos a una práctica.
Monaguillos Nuevos: Asistir por lo menos a dos prácticas. Si su horario le
permite más de dos prácticas, mucho mejor.
Si usted asiste al colegio de Blessed Sacrament pero es monaguillo en otra
parroquia, participe por lo menos a una práctica. Esto le permitirá servir en
las Misas del colegio.
