On a hill far away …
The old rugged cross is a symbol of ultimate sacrifice .
Jesus dies in same way He lives .
His life and death are sacrificial – He daily denies Himself.
What does human life cost Jesus?
He must leave the throne room of heaven . (Philippians 2.5-8)
He leaves the realms of glory to live life on earth as a lowly human.
Consider eternity past …
He possesses the very nature of God … from the beginning . (John 1.1-5)
He is equal with God. ( Colossians 1.15, 19-20; Hebrews 1.1-3)
“Out of the ivory palaces … into a world of woe … ”
“Only His great eternal love … made my Savior go.”
Jesus reigns with God over all the universe.
But … He gives it all up – for us !
He is born in a stable .
He is God in the flesh – but there is no room for Him in the inn. (John 1.10-14)
Consider His true character …
It is not demonstrated through His handling of responsibilities .
It is shown through His handling of privileges .
Why, Lord, why?
He thinks of others – not Himself.
Our attitude should be the same . (Philippians 2.5)
Do we think first of others?
Are we willing to die daily ? If so, do we show it?
Do we recognize and appreciate the magnitude of the gift given to us?

Two Very Important Deadlines This Month!
As the holiday season approaches, we’ll all get busy with the hustle and bustle. We want to remind you that there’s twoimportant deadlines to sign up for two big events we don’t want you to miss. First is Evangelism University, the yearly
youth rally we attend in Savannah. It’s January 16 -18, 2015, costs only $40, and you must sign up on the youth board byDecember 17 if you want to go.
The second is Challenge Youth Conference in Pigeon Forge, and that event is February 27-March 1, 2015. You MUST llout a form (just like Advance and Camp) if you want to go to this event. December 21 is the deadline to sign up to go, and
because of refunds and cabin rentals, there is no backing out of this event past December 21.
We know that the Christmas holiday is straining on budgets, so we are postponing the fees for both events until January.
But we still need you to sign up for the events Should you have any questions, please see Chad.
Find info for CYCon the YouthBoard and in theracks by Chad’soce.
Sign up for EU onthe Youth Board.
We look forwardto seeing you atboth events!
