The sources and nature of financing available to businesses are becoming increasingly sophisticated. Public debt issuances, subordinated debt markets, mezzanine debt facilities and equity participation, with or without an IPO, represent some of theoptions. Complex questions have arisen pertaining to such facilities, particularly during a time of financial crisis. What happenswhen businesses are confronted with financial difficulties? Who are the creditors? What are their interests? And how will those interests impact a restructuring? The answers to these questions, and various financing solutions will be explored.
